So. Cal
I actually have freinds that know Chauncey Washington, and not that it matters but they said he is a lost cause and will never suit up again. He is not even close to same form he was and he never took his grades seriously.

I will be interesting to see who fills the SC void at RB. Maybe a more mobile qb will carry some of the rushing yards.

good input as always Scott, I am a fan of Carroll...he would be nuts to ever leave....the college game just suits him kind of like Weis (even though he has proven success in the NFL), Tressell, and Spurrier...Its more than obvious Carroll is a player's coach and a solid recruiter...I haven't heard to much of S. Johnson...Scott, you have any articles about this kid for me to read up on...

USC is pulling in the same RB class they pulled in 3 years ago with Bush, White and Washington. (all top 10 in the country out of high school)

High probability USC will get the #2, #6 and #10 RB's in the country. Its almost a done deal. On top of those 3, USC also might get the #5 RB in the country as well. Can Carroll get 4 of the top 10 RB's in the nation in one recruiting class? :scared I'll be estatic if USC gets 3.

One thing is clear. Nobody recruits better than Pete Carroll.

I don't have any articles on S. Johnson but here is link to scout and their info on him. He is USC's #1 target at RB.

Can't wait to see this kid on the field

Yeah, Pete knows what he is doing when he's recruiting...but like I said before some those high rated kids pan out and some don't only time will tell

Let's hope that he can live up to his own hype. The following is a quote from the player copied from Scout.com:

Johnson: "I am great at seeing the whole field. I have great vision, power and speed. I think that I'm a very versatile back. I want to work on getting stronger and being a more powerful runner." "I'm also being recruited to play in the secondary at Cal, Miami and Washington. Those programs are offering me to play on both offense and defense. But it really doesn't matter to me what I end up playing, just as long as I'm on the field."

Anybody can recruit, the key is being sucessful at securing commitments. USC currently has 14, including one running back. Emanuel Moody is ranked #10 in the country. Get back to me when you sign the other three.

I wonder if Moody, who is from Texas, is having second thoughts after watching the Longhorn "high school offense" take out his "future" alma mater on January 4th?

I didn't want to be the one to say something but yeah I thought the exact same thing reading the first three words of his quote...and we'll see how signing day turns out...didn't want to challenge Scott for a fear of backlashes and him posting incredible long messages...just joking Scott but like I've said before time will tell

Lets see. Carroll has 14 commitments, 9 are ranked top 100, FIVE 5-star recruits, and Carroll is not finished. BTW, ZERO 3-star recruits (has that ever happened?) Nothing but 5-star and 4-star recruits. Amazing. Texas (2005 NC's), Fl, Georgia, and ND all have over 25 commits and yet USC is kicking their a$$ with just 14 commitments. Carroll is still recruiting the BIG FISH!!!!!!!

Nobody in the country has an average rating anywhere near 4.0. USC average recruit ranking is 4.36!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The next highest is 3.88 by FL which is actually a wide margin.

This is why I can't figure out people thinking USC will come down to earth. USC is actually getting BETTER and MORE talented. 4 straight years Carroll will have top 3 recruiting class in the country and 4 straight years Carroll has been #1 in average rating per recruit.

Expect another 4 year run by Carroll that will match the previous one. One thing is for sure. Caroll will have more talent and depth to work with! :scared

Get back to me when you sign the other three.

Will do! :D

VERY HIGH probability USC gets 3 of the nations top 10 running backs. Carroll is "trying" to get 4 of the nations top 10 RB's. Carroll is scary good.

I wonder if Moody, who is from Texas, is having second thoughts after watching the Longhorn "high school offense" take out his "future" alma mater on January 4th?

Didn't Moody publicly VERBAL to USC after the BCS NC game? :mj07:

What about Gerald Washington?

Scout has him 4-star. Every USC recruit is 4-star or 5-star talent. I been told only 3-star USC might get is a PUNTER! :mj07:

link

USC coaching staff had him rated the #1 TE in the country with most potential. Makes sense since USC already has 5-star Fred Davis set at TE next year.

Highly doubtful

You want to make a "friendly" little side wager? USC hat vs Texas hat? :mj07:

95% probability USC lands 3 of the nations top 10 RB's. Moody is in (#10), and Johnson (#2) and Gable (#6) are silent verbals. They always can change their mind. USC also is recruiting 3 OTHER top 10 RB's who ALSO might commit. IMO Goodson is the one. That might mean Carroll gets 4 of the top 10 RB's in the country. I am betting and sticking with 3. I am game for a hat wager! :)
Are you? Everyone can use another new hat! :)
According to you, it is "highly doubtful" for me to win the bet! :)

You're on.

The bet is that USC will or will not sign three of the nation's top ten running backs according to Scout.com's final rankings.

The bet is official. BUt I want to make one thing clear. If USC signs 3 or "more" of the nations top 10 RB's I win the bet. If USC signs 2 or less of the nations top 10 RB's, then YOU WIN the bet. We will go by SCOUT.COM top 10 RB's listed on the day of LOI.

Hopefully you are an honorable poster because you will lose this friendly wager! :)

Does it matter that 1 of the top 10, #10 actually has already committed to USC?

Scott I assume you are counting on McCoy & Gable both committing to USC since Moody already has....

I am hearing that McCoy is now leaning hard to Bama......

Judge, do we have an official HAT BET? I win if USC lands 3 or more of the nations top 10 RB's listed by Scout on LOI day. (which you think is highly doubtful) You win if USC lands 2 or less. If win I choose a hat of my liking and vice versa. Please confirm the wager! :)

I don't think McCoy is going to qualify to any school.

The 3 RB's that I "think" are in the bag are Moody (duh), Gable and Johnson. Plus a possibility of a 4th RB recruit. What is amazing is USC had about 8 of the nations top 10 RB's show high interest. I bet USC lands at least 3 of them.

The early departures of Justice & Matua will have more of an impact on SC than getting 3 or 4 of the top 10 rb's. Someone has to block for them & they need them to be experienced.

If Im not mistaken, 5 starting o line men returned the year Leinart, Bush & White took over. Next year, SC is looking at 2 returning starters. It's gonna be a tough year.
