Tuesday 0-3 -9.39 Units
Wednesday 1-1 -2.70 Units

Here are tonight?s selections:

(7) Virginia Commonwealth -10.5 -105

The Dukes' head coach Dean Keener, in his second year at the helm, is having a difficult time getting his new recruits and veteran players to buy into his program. James Posey, who was suspended for 13 games because he wouldn't finish sprints, will be back in action; however, game shape and fitting in with the system are questionable. Moreover, well liked Cavell Johnson, the team's 2nd leading scorer, was recently dismissed from the team; as a result, the Dukes got beaten at home by lowly Towson State January 7th to fall to 1-5 ATS over their last six games. The Dukes have little size in the low post and continue to be vulnerable on the defensive end (allow 78 points-per-game at home). VCU, which is well disciplined on the defensive end, should find their offense feeding off their defense. James Madison is a mere 4-11 ATS in there last 15 against a good defensive teams (allowing 64 points-per-game or less). VCU sports a 4-1 ATS mark in this series including a 70-43 pasting at James Madison on 1/31/05.

Good Day & Good Luck!

(5) DePaul +12 -110

Blue Demons head coach Wainwright has DePaul already at a competitive level in this conference. They've played a tough schedule (only one team had a losing record) and sport a respectable 7-2 ATS mark against teams above .500. Pittsburgh, which hasn't been in action since their 100-97 win over Notre Dame on the 4th, could easily be flat here. The Panthers are about to embark on an extended road trip with #10 Louisville on deck Sunday. Pittsburg is just 2-7 SU in mid-range home chalk and 0-3 ATS after allowing 80 or more points. I?m looking for DePaul to give them trouble here tonight!

Good Day & Good Luck!

(5) Youngstown State -4 -106

The Penguins are the spread darling of this season at 11-1 ATS and we'll ride them in this spot. Youngstown State is 4-0 ATS at home and face an offensively challenged Raiders team. The Raiders, which average 54 points-per-game as a traveler, have repeatedly lost the turnover battle and struggle from the free throw line (63%) away from their home gym. Youngstown State, led by Quinn Humphrey, has not won SU in this series since January 2003 but should be well focused here. The Penguins had an additional two days prep and should continue to play hard and smart at home under Slocum, who, finally, has this program going in the right direction!

Other Selections:

(3) Wilmington +4.5 -106
