actually a quality defense is the reason dan marino never won a super bowl. even without a running game to balance an offense and keep opposing defenses honest, marino still did what he did. its as if i told you i was gonna slap you in the mouth- you knew it was coming- and i did it anyways, over and over and over again. and there is nothing you could do about it...but i digress...

Do you want Bill Belichick, Tom Brady and three points, or do you want Mike Shanahan, Jake Plummer and the home crowd? Seriously...

actually it was marino's ability to throw multiple int's that led him to never winning or reaching a second super bowl......look at his post-season stats and his td-int ratio is horrible......almost looks like chirs simms/eli manning's

Though Brady's playoff record is good......CMON slice n dice Denver lol.....If that's the case why didn't superman do that the first time when they played Denver in Denver....Jake will need to play well, and he has shown he has the ability this year. GL with your play but slice and dice just will not happen man

I just don't get it....can somebody explain....

and I don't want to hear that Broncos are undefeated at home or can run the ball etc. because I am 100% positive that Belicheck will devise a scheme to stop the run AND THEY WILL. Plummer will have to play very well to win this game. What is his playoff record?????? Brady will simply slice and dice Broncos pass defense all night.

I couldnt agree with you more dizzy!!!Well said!!

I know it sounds like a ridiculous statement but Palmer wouldn't not have lost a 17 point lead...I'm not big on the NE defense...their is some holes and we'll see it against Denver...I honestly think with a healthy Palmer Cincy would outscore NE...Its only that top notch glue too...I prefer that good old toy air plane glue not that weak ass Elmer's chit
:mj07:

Sounds like you just keep feeding yourself the same old bullshit!!!Denver goes down tonight by 10 points...

Running the ball. You still have to be able to run it and the New England offensive line hasn't been getting the job done. Dillon is starting to look old. Brady is a huge advantage over Plummer but the talent around Jake is a lot better. The offensive lines will be the difference in this game as Denver will still be able to run the ball effectively. Just an opinion but the game is more than just the QB position. Their is a reason Dan Marino never won a super bowl.

Legends Skewered on and Saved by the Sword of INTs
Fans routinely come up with reasons why some great quarterbacks were not able to win in the postseason.

Take, for example, the case of former Dolphins quarterback Dan Marino, who still stands as one of the most productive players in history and continues to hold numerous passing records. Marino's supporters say he did not win a Super Bowl because he had no defense and no running game and had to carry the team himself. But that wasn?t the reason why Marino never won a Super Bowl.

Marino never won a Super Bowl because he habitually threw interceptions in the playoffs. Marino played in 18 postseason games in his career. He posted an 8-10 mark in those 18 games.
When Marino threw fewer than 2 INTs, the Dolphins were 7-1.
When Marino threw 2 INTs or more, the Dolphins were just 1-9.
