posting early, 'cause i'm gonna be buried with college hoops up until the football starts.
seattle (-9.5) 2 units. not much i can say about this game that hasn't already been said. looks to me like they want washington money. the 'skins were very fortunate to survive last week. we all know how poorly teams fare in their 3rd straight road game. i think washington's injuries and just general exhaustion finally catch up to them here. i think seattle will struggle against either team next week though, as i really don't think they are very good. this is purely an anti-washington play.
denver (-3) 4 units. i fully respect what the patriots have accomplished the last few years. now everybody and their grandmother are jumping back on the pat's bandwagon. i simply don't think this team has the same magic this year. denver has to be just sitting back and watching and listening to all the pundits this week proclaiming the return of the patriots to glory. they'll be fired up, get off to a good start, and we won't have to worry about plummer playing from behind. they didn't just barely beat the pats earlier this year (despite the final score), they manhandled them. i fully expect more of the same tonight.
