If you bet on-line and want value, don't even bother taking the Bears/Panthers game straight up. Instead, bet either the Bears or Panthers to win the NFC Championship on a future wager. It is somewhat risky because the winner of Bears/Panthers will likely be 3-6 point dogs to Seattle, but I feel pretty confident that the winner of the Bears/Panthers game will have the stiffling defense necessary to stop Seattle. No offense to Seattle fans, but that Seattle team is not going to the Super Bowl. Good luck.

Hello dizzayton...

Personally I think what you are proposing is a really risky proposition when considering that if Carolina wins and then advances to the NFC Championship at Seattle the Panthers will then be flying out to the left coast for their FOURTH straight road game and will also be playing on the road for the FIFTH time in six weeks..

If Carolina happens to advance they will indeed be installed as doggies and probably good size at that, so why not simply wager on Carolina as a doggie against Chicago and then if they happen to defeat Ch-town wager on the Panthers again against Seattle as a doggie once again?

As for me if Carolina happens to defeat Chicago (which I doubt) I will be all over Seattle as soon as the line is released, the same does not hold true with regard to Chicago however because they are a rested home team and are the favorite against Carolina, with that being said I think their is "Value" with what you are proposing by wagering on Chicago now to win the NFC Championship because you would then in essence simply need Chicago to win straight up against Carolina and then hope they pull the upset at Seattle, the odds would be worth the risk in my opinion.

As for me once the regular season only had four weeks left I placed four Super Bowl "Future" wagers with Pittsburgh and Denver from the AFC and Carolina and Seattle from the NFC, since all four of my teams are still alive my dream Super Bowl matchup is Pittsburgh and Carolina because I got the Steelers at 18 to 1 and got Carolina at 9 to 1.

Take care and good luck my friend with whatever you decide to do...

Jim

Yeah, I see what you mean. I placed future bets at the end of december for Chicago to win NFC Championship at 5-1 (good size play), Chicago to win SB at 20-1 (small play) Washington to win NFC at 22-1(small play), and Carolina/Indy superbowl at 17-1(small play).

I don't really know who will win the Bears game, but I feel strongly that the winner beats Seattle. I don't think Seattle is that great. Maybe I am wrong????
