I've never seen the show. Is it pointless for me to even try to start watching this season or just buy the 1st 2 seasons on DVD? It will take me weeks to find time to watch the 1st 2 seasons BTW.

I've heard it's pretty good but I don't want to jump in the middle and not have a clue(which is what I think will be the case).

I missed the 1st season of "Lost" but luckily I'm caught up on that show.

Your input is appreciated.

Nol,

You can jump in tonight and still be okay. Granted, there is back-story you won't be able to appreciate but in the meantime it should be fine.

I actually jumped in during season 2 or 3 and have never seen those I've missed. They are good about the show like that...allowing people to watch who haven't been following all along.

I'm assuming during the first 4 hrs of episode they will try to include backstory to get people who haven't been up to date with it into the story.

But I still suggest getting a hold of them if you can eventually. Each season is a completely new story, but each has a little back story and characters that will come back. You should be okay.

Great show IMO.

I bet you're right. Didn't think of that. I'll give it a look tonight and tomorrow.

Thanks for the reply.

I watch 24, but imo Season 1 is the best and it has declined each year. It becomes more and more absurd (particularly the timing issues). Part of the problem is that in Season 1 they had outlined the whole season. Now they do the first 5 or 6 episodes and make it up as it goes. But it is very addictive.

I watched last year, liked it, and then watched the previous years on DVD during the week while the current season was going on.

I watch almost zero non-sports TV, but that's an amazing show.

Love the Show. It's A whole new day so you'll be fine.

Wonder what Cloe means when she says "They are all Dead"

Can't wait

none of this has been much of a secret.....and when Michelle is listed as a "special guest star" that's a pretty good hint, as is fact actor playing Palmer having a new show....

...kind of comical that everyone at CTU knows Michelle is dead 3 minutes after the bomb goes off...

....Jack is in hiding wiht a faked death, so he is hanging out 30 minutes from LA.....

I thought the same thing about the Jack-being-30-mins-from-LA thing. Not the best hiding place.

I haven't been watching much NFL lately, so I haven't seen Fox much. I actually didn't know it was debuting tonight until this week, so I didn't have a clue that Michelle was listed as a guest star. Still disappointed. Always liked looking at her.

Personally, I love the show. I never watched it "LIVE". I will be this season though. Seaon 1 was definately the best, followed by 2, 4 & 3. I think this season could be pretty good.

If you havent seen any of the first 4 seasons it may be hard to pick on why certain things happen or have meaning to them.

Do yourself a favor & DVR or tape the shows, go buy the DVDs for the first 4 seasons & take your time & watch them all first......it will take a while, but by the time you are ready for season 5 you wont have to go through all the commericals & waiting for next week.

Funniest part of the show, and they have done this before, are the surgery scenes.

They flash to Tony on the table for "Brain surgery". He's got a blue hat on and HE'S NOT INTUBATED. Not to mention they are doing the surgery at CTU, which also makes no sense.
