Sorry disagree quagmire

here is HIS stats

Field Goal Made 0-19 yrds 20-29 yrds 30-39 yrds 40-49yds
Mike Vanderjagt IND 16 1-1 9-9 6-7 7-8

He was hitting a mere 87 percent from 40-49 yards, that was definitely in his range, The Guy Choked!!

Ok, didn't realize he was that good from that distance. I knew he was good... but wow. I still don't think he should have had to try it from that far. They should have picked the first down and then went from there.

Maybe they should load up that moving van with Vanderjagt, Manning and Dungy. This game should not have not even been close the missed interference call, the interception,etc... Second time Vandy has choked on a big kick. Manning blames his offensive line. Dungy's old team wins a Super Bowl as soon as he leaves. Lets give credit where credit is due the Steelers whipped their asses as Payton played scared as he always does against a physical team. No more excuses from Indy people the Steelers beat the Colts and the officiating.

Don't blame anyone on the Colts. Give credit where credit is due. The Steelers totally outplayed Indy. Pittsburgh was the better team today, period!

I would say Pitt played great for 3 quarters. However, they played like absolute crap in the fourth and it damn near cost them the game. I give them credit for winning, no doubt. But this game was yet another instance of a defense getting a big lead and then mailing it in and letting the other team back in it. They were able to hang on, but they very easily could have lost. That, to me, is not impressive.

sorry, have to disagree...the Defense played as well as they could...the refs blew that int call...then they virtually won the game when the stopped Colts on their 2nd to last drive but the Bus fumbled...tell me you didn't think the game was over when Indy turned it over on downs?

steelers win next week,as plummer will be a no-show. pats would have beaten them if it werent for 5 turnovers. quarterbacks are a key in the play-offs, and plummer isnt there yet

If beating the best team in the NFL on their home turf isn't impressive, what is? Don't forget, the Steelers were playing their second straight on the road, against a well-rested team. Nobody gave Pittsburgh a chance of winning this game, except for bigpoppers. It was the most impressive win I have seen in a long time!

Oh no, I definitely thought it was over too. I just meant they let them back in by giving up 15 points in the 4th after holding them to 3 all game. And that's the thing about me... one of my biggest pet peeves is when defense let up and get soft when they get a big lead. It's a frigging epidemic in not just the NFL, but college foots as well. The fact that Indy even had a chance to win the game at the end is pretty surprising to me.

That came out wrong. I think they looked very impressive most of the game. I just wasn't impressed with the fact that they had to hold on and squeak out a victory at the end when they had an 18 point lead in the fourth. Should have closed it out sooner in my opinion. But a win is a win is a win. So it doesn't matter.

not taking anything away from the steelers, but i think we found out today what we always knew, the colts are a fraud.nothing but a regular season team.any physical team with heart would beat them in the playoffs.indoor or outdoor.

Oh my god i just saw the highlights of the game. Did Harper have the whole fawkin sideline to run down the field or what. Dude could of crawled into the endzone if he would of went down the sideline because theres no way Big Ben is going to catch him.

Serves Vanderjagt right for missing that FG for popping off about Manning 2 years ago. You think Manning wants to call out Vanderjagt right about now?

Yeah, the Harper play was brutal. I think Ben was kind of angling toward the sideline, trying to force Harper to go up the middle. But yeah, he probably could have gotten by him even if he had taken the sideline. You can't get tripped up by the QB on that play.

If the coach calls a play, can Peyton say no, I want to run this play. Hell no, go sit your ass on the bench! :s4: And don't you ever talk back to you're daddy! :stfu:

Peyton went so far as to send the punt team off the field on his own at a point in the game, he runs the show for this team.

As for Vanderjact, I agree the loss is not his fault, but come on he did miss that kick by about 30 yards. Great regular season player but not big when the pressure is on.
