Is there some obscure rule he is trying to say he was going by? Sportscenter was saying there was. I haven't heard the refs take and I guess we never will? Looked like the fix was on to me! Fukcin only good call an Indiana team has ever had and they cant cash it in :mj07:

What about the call on the false start--no penalty??

That too. They have to call something there dont they? I bitch all the time about how the teams I bet on and the teams I root for never get the calls or the breaks. My whole life, the refs have ALWAYS been on the other team ( :) ) and the Colts after years of New England holding us on every play, all the beats, the Colts FINALLY get the calls and well :cursin: Ahhhhhh

the obscure rule that they said was " HIS right knee was still on the ground when he lost possesion of the ball. If he had stayed down it would have been an interception. If he had gotten both knees off the ground, it would have been an interception and a fumble. But anywhere in between would be an incomplete pass"

If that explanation doesnt make you go WTF???? I dont know what would.

here is my guess on this one.... granted, the defense crossed the line of scrimage (but as noted by the officials and the TV cameras they didn't make contact with anyone)

problem i wonder about (and no, never even noticed) ... if the ball was ever snapped.... had the ball been snapped, the defense would have been called for offsides. since or IF it wasn't, they would have still had the chance to get back on their own side of the ball :D

(does this sound right to anyone?) LOL

seems to simple that they wouldn't have just explained it that way if in case it's the rule.

You are correct, if the defense jumps offsides and the ball is not snapped they do indeed have the opportunity to get back on-side, however the officials blew the play dead, they have to have a reason to do that, don't they? You can't just stop play for the fun of it.

Someone needs to lose a job over this, no doubt.

or at least be fined.....LOL

still tho, it was nothing but official ERROR, and they couldn't issue a penalty to either team just because they F'd up.

seemed to me that everyone kept saying ONE OR THE OTHER TEAMS needs to be penalized for this. (of course i could have just been hearing things....LOL)

now i'll go crawl back in my corner and try to get over the Bears loss :(

okay, time for my next dumb question...LOL (SHEESH i need a rules brush up)

even had the ball been snapped the refs shouldn't have blown a whistle should they have? shouldn't they have just thrown a flag? (unless contact was made, isn't it just a free play?)

We wanted it more... We deserved it more.. "Everybody cries about the ref's when they lose the game.." We'll we won and I'm still crying... Pete Morellie should lose his fuking job... An apology by the league just doesn't get it... Take these aged, decrepit walking corpes off the field and go strictly with video... Might as well be a bunch of fuking weathermen out there making the calls... No accountability... Stupid cheaten MF'ers...

Buddy of mine went to the game, some of his email is below.. He's 6'7 300lbs

WORST reversal call in the history of mankind. There will never be a worse call in the history of sports. If you tried to call that pass incomplete in back yard football, I would have thrown punches for as long as I had wind in my lungs. To the death.

NFL has officially said the call was a "mistake". I know of three times now since 2000 that we have got ****ed by the refs so bad that the NFL has had to apologize to the Steelers.

We still beat those cheating ****ers. We are the best professional sports franchise EVER. It seams like every year around this time we are in this position. 60 minutes to the Super Bowl!

- Ben 25-4 as starter in NFL
- Cowher 103-1-1 when leading by 10 points or more
- In last 33 games, 32-0-1 when rushing for over 100 yds
- Steelers 1st 6th seed to make it to AFC championship
- 13th chance since 1972 to go to Super Bowl (6th since 1994)
- Ben is first QB EVER to lead his team to conference championship game in his 1st 2 years

Unbelievable highs and lows at the game. Utter glee, with ferocious jumping, with no hindrance to human suffering as I screamed like a mad man to.......oh my God, dont let that be the bus's last memory, to please God let Ben catch that cheating bastard to thank you God for letting Ben catch that cheating bastard to please God make that frigging mountaineer miss this field goal (I put the hex on him) to Utter glee with ferocious jumping with no hindrance to human suffering as I screamed like a mad man.

Correct unless the illegal movement provided unabated access to the QB for the Defense.

Real question is who do we get to replace these aging zebras?...........Sun Belt or Conference USA officials? We all saw how great a job they do at Fawkin up a game (Michigan/Nebraska & Iowa/Florida). I guess they would fit right in.

Just a bad, bad job so far in the playoffs by the officials. Seems like there was more junk the past 8 games than there was the entire season put together. Some went my way, some went against, but nonetheless, the NFL should be embarassed.
The real pressing question is "What are they gonna do about it?"

NFL football has completely been destroyed. What the officials haven't destroyed, NFL suits have. How many actual plays in a game now? The clock runs almost continuously to fit more and more stupid commercials in. Should be called commercial ball. Observe a game and take note of how many commercials, its sickening.
