Had an earlier thread about this, but whatever. Going to Vegas the 1st weekend in March for a batchelor party...just found out we are staying in a couple of suites at Ballys. Is Bally's any good?? Looks like a money location (center strip??) from what I have read...thought you guys might like this too...Eddie DeBartolo got us the rooms...turns out he's somehow knows my buddy's family...anyways thoughts/opinions on Ballys is appreciated

Bally's location is good (strip wise). You are connected to the Paris though a tunnel that has some shopping. So basically all the advice you received about the Paris applies to Bally's.

No poker.

Low limit table games available.

Across from the Bellagio (good poker room).

Walking distance to several other places for shows including Caesars and NYNY.

I have never stayed there (did stay in Paris) but I assume the rooms themselves to be lack luster judging the gaming room.

If you are looking for nightlife, you will have to hike a bit.

Stayed there last time out. Room was good with a view of Paris pool and strip. Like thier Sportsbook..small but decent. You can catch the Rail to MGM. Great location. Tunnel thing is cool, liked going to the bar in the morning and Playing Poker.

No Complains

Also, it's close to the airport :) If you like to play video poker, video keno, etc. just make sure you look for the best payouts! I was putting in a show there and on my lunch I decided to go to a bar, (out of the way) to have 1 drink :mj14: and play a little. After putting my $$$ in the machine, I was pissed at the payoffs and left. I walked the floor and found machines with the right payoffs, very important!!!
Also across the street, is a cool Italian restaurant call Batistas Hole in the Wall. There's a little old Italian guy who's been there forever that plays the accordian as you dine. He goes table to table and he's cool. Hope he's still with us!
have a great time here and remember "hit and run" If you get lucky, DON'T GIVE IT BACK!
