A10 Record - 14-9

Good and easy win with Charlotte last night...let's keep it going tonight...

Temple +1 - I see a lot of early posts with people on Dayton...I know my flyers and they are going to have a tough time tonight and the rest of the season...UD has lost 6 straight, and is comming back to one of the toughest places to play in america tonight with the crowd on their side...even with that, I still don't think they will win, and here's why...

1. No offense - Dayton only has ONE player who can score in B-Rob...monty scott is most likely out with a foot injury, even though he practiced the last two days...if he plays he probably won't be too much of a factor...
2. No guard - Warren williams has developed into one of the worst starting point guards in D1 ball...he can't shoot or score, and to top it off he can't dribble or pass...turnover city...
3. Chaney ball - to play into the no guard situation, chaney's teams work their tails off and will cause turnovers...they'll play a zone and take their chances with letting UD shoot from the outside...their big men will destroy us in the paint...
4. Schedule - temple played some tough teams villanova, gw, and then a close loss @ st. joes...last two at st. bonnies and lasalle have been easy wins...they'll be ready for this game...UD played some tough teams close, but then lost to some mediocre A10 teams? will they be ready?

Now this isn't to say that UD can't win this game...I"m in a win win situation by betting temple because if UD wins, then I can be happy about not going on the biggest losing streak since the early 90's...but if UD losses, I'm happy with some bank...

For UD to win this game the "others" on the team need to step it up and create offense...they have potential to shoot the ball, but can't do it when they need to...they'll probably win the battle of the boards which may lead to some offensive points...

I've began to not expect much from my flyers as this team has negativity written all over their faces...will tonight be the night they find a spark and start winning some games? My money says no and they'll have to wait until saturday against duquesne to do so...

other A10 small plays
lasalle -5
fordham +8
st. louis +1.5

good luck tonight! thanks for the charlotte write up last night. hit that and the under for a nice night. i'll have to look into this game a little more, i think temple wins this one also. temple always starts to gel once they get a few games into conference play due to their always difficult ooc schedule. haven't looked too hard at the games today but am leaning towards lasalle & richmond. richmond has always done well for me at home as a small fav or dog.

Yes, I completely agree with you that the NEED a conference win...but when it comes down to it I just don't think that they are the better team...they will need to get lucky and create some offense, if not they are doomed...

Dayton will win if WW keeps the turnovers down, b-rob doesn't get shut down by the temple D, and the bench steps up and creates offense...no one is questioning dayton's defense, but I really think they can only do one of the three things I mentioned on any given night...

I have yet to see them play so I don't have a really good opinion of them, but they sure are playing better ball this year...

the lasalle play is small becuase I just think that at home coming off of two losses they'll find a way to win this one by 6-9...both teams are not that great, which makes it even tougher to cap, but lasalle is a pretty good team with two good losses and then two in the A10 (the last two games) so they'll come out firing on all cylinders...

Mardy Collins will own the Flyers as usual. Just won't have an answer for him defensively.

Go Flyers, but money's on Temple!

Collins has had 1 good game against these guys . I would not say he owns them. Last out 4 of 18 , 18 pts ,most from the line. The other 2 games 2 of 11, 7 pts & 3 of 13 , 9 points.

well 1-3 tonight...my record is not reflective of my P&L as I've been missing the small plays, but hitting the real plays...

big win with temple...

I should stop playing the small plays...only the ones I spend the time to write-up!
