love this one... :firing:

Goings over 66.5 yards rushing -115

I think I would play it even if the over/under were 80 yards.

Seattle will key on stopping Smith...at least they should

I'd like to see a prop with both RB's...I think Goings will get more yardage than Alexander.

Just a note.....Seattle doesn't play to stop one guy. Holmgren is not so stupid as to think that all his team has to do is stop Smith. We all know that Carolina is a team.......and Seattle will shut them down as a unit. Not saying that Carolina won't score but I do believe that they will score alot less than people think. Remember this.....these Hawks stopped Portis, Westbrook, Jones, Vick, Dunn and Barber too. To say that some third stringer is going to run all over them........is, well, let's just say that I disagree.

Good Luck this weekend

I agree with the Goings play. The guy looked like a pro bowler last year. What more does a guy have to do to earn a starting job. I'll tell you what.......run for over 100 yards and 2 scores in the NFC Championsip. That guy Goings has the heart of a lion, something Alexander will never have.

There is a reason he doesn't have a starting job......Any one know what that might be? Oh and by the way.....the NFC Championship game is this weekend in Seattle and not in Carolina, there is a reason for that too. Just my opinion. Good luck !!

my reason for liking Goings this weekend can be attributed to his performace when he was called to step up.

from SI... "Goings had five 100-yard games in the second half of last season. That's more than DeShaun Foster and Stephen Davis combined to produce in the past two years."

rest assured that Goings will be the workhorse for Carolina...there is no other option

whereas on Seattle, Alexander will be relied upon to prove himself in the playoffs...something he hasn't done...and he will share some carries with Maurice Morris

plus, while the Seattle D is no slouch (esp. against the run) take into account that Seattle is going up against the #3 defense in the NFL and they are going to stack the box...this is why I like Goings to get more yardage than Alexander

I agree that Goings is a capable back.....and I wasn't knocking him directly. They will be using him alot this weekend....the Hawks know that. Here is a little something to throw into the mix....what do you think might happen when Carolina stacks the box to stop Alexander and Morris ?? We have the #3 QB in the NFL dropping back to survey the field.....I'll bet that he has time to find his receivers........if Rex Grossman had time to find his targets then I don't think that Matt Hasselback will have any trouble at all.

I kind of went off topic there didn't I ?? Sorry, I tend to jump up on my soapbox sometimes. I do understand your logic but I still think Alexander is going to run like a wild man....and I don't think you'll see the ball on the ground......not after that nightmare we saw last week.

I don't know if I would go so far as to say Goings will have more yards, but I would be stunned if Alexander has a big game on Sunday. I think a lot of people are getting caught up in his stats. Carolina has an outstanding run D and I have to think they will gameplan to shut him down first and foremost. Lucas and Gamble are more than capable so 1-on-1 coverage is no problem for them. I've read a lot of people on this board saying they expect to Alexander to have a big game. I just don't see it happening. I don't think he'll get over 70 yards, and that's being generous. I think if Seattle wins it will be because of Hass, not Smiley McSelfishson. Just my opinion...
