(5) Hofstra +9

The road team in this series has covered three of the last four. Hofstra, which is coming off a triple overtime win against NC Wilmington, should stay focused here. Old Dom knocked Hofstra out of the NCAA Tourney over the last two seasons and Hofstra should bring their best game here. Old Dominion sports a mere 2-5 ATS ledger in their last seven at home and are overvalued in this spot considering that six of the last eight regular season tilts between these clubs each came down to last second finishes.


(3) NC Wilmington -13.5

Towson has played well over its last three games but should stumble here. Wilmington, 11-5 ATS this season, is 8-1 ATS against teams above .500 and 2-0 ATS off a conference loss. The Seahawks employ a smothering defense that allows 54.8 points-per-game! They're very capable of slowing down Towson's arsenal, which struggles rebounding on the road (minus 7 rebound margin) and sports a minus 2 turnover margin. Towson will clearly not get the open looks here that they got over the past few games against inferior defenses. NC Wilmington is 4-0 SU / 3-1 ATS against Towson.

(3) Virginia Commonwealth -14

VCU, a resilient and defensively stifling team, should suffocate the Tribe here. W&M, offensively challenged on the road (63 points-per-game), should be smothered by the Rams swarming defensive pressure. The Tribe, which sports a minus four turnover margin on the road, is vulnerable to the VCU pressure on this floor. VCU lambasted W&M last year on this floor 91-69. VCU is 10-3 ATS off a conference loss and should roll.

Despite the Ducks recent run, we'll look for Dick Bennett's well disciplined bunch to pick it up a notch after dropping two straight on the road. The Cougars are 19-7 ATS off a conference loss. The Ducks, which are still celebrating off their mammoth win over Arizona at home Saturday, should regress back to their earlier season underachieving ways on this floor.
