well here we go, we have a final four this sunday, and i really dont think we could see 4 better teams going at it.

after last weeks games, i said no way im betting denver as i do not like what i seen coming from plummer! we must think here people, if it werent for a cheap pass interference call when the game was 0-0, who knows what would have happened? i dont think denver dominated at all, if it werent for ne's turnovers, noway the broncos win, ill take the better qb here in big ben

heres some info on both games this week-end

"in the play-offs a team that knocked out last years superbowl champs is a perfect 0-8 (denver)

pittsburgh +158

---------------------------------------------------------------------
game#2

9 games seattle played this year against teams under 500 they scored 36 pts pg

the remaining teams they averaged just 18 ppg

seattle doenst scare me 1 bit, and john fox im sure will have a game plan for alexander.this is another game just like the pitt/den game, seattle really struggled most of the 1h in last weeks game, but then again washington has no offense. carolina is solid on both sides of the ball, and see hasselback struggling in this one

some info on this game

john fox is 17-2-1 as a road underdog

he is also undefeated as a dog in the play-offs

carolina +163

now what baffles me about these 2 games is the ml here, i feel its ballooned a bit over normal ml's. i feel if you really want to make money this week-end, then bet both dogs on the ml.

but i must say ,i think both dogs come out on top

jmizeus, i understand what you're saying but if your basing your decision on trends i would be a little leary of both dogs. No six seed has ever made the super bowl, and the last time a team won 3 road games in a row to get to the super bowl was the pats in 85. They then proceeded to get whipped by a unbelievable bears team. Not trying to change your mind, just some food for thought.

trust me, you wont be changing my mind.

all week a tried to find a way to take denver, and couldnt. i maybe wrong, but if i did bet denver and lost, id be pissed. if pittsburgh takes the lead in this game, lights out i feel

also, no i dont believe in trends, but you did say no team as a #6 seed ever went to the superbowl right?

well going into this year no #6 seed made it to the championship game either, and what happened?

there are trends against pitt also im sure of, cowher is what? 1-4 in the championship games?

i just cannot back plummer after watching last weeks games, big ben looked like hes been around for some time after watching him last week.

also you can throw out the 3rd game on the road for these teams. they didnt get here by mistake

good luck on your plays, as i said i tried to take denver, but couldnt ?

Haven't made any plays yet but am leaning towards denver early. Wasn't trying to knock your picks or sound pompous, just stating historically what has happened.

good luck I am on the same sides I took them early in the week on the ML and yes the ML's are lil out of whack last week carolina was -3 and +135 on the ml and this week pitt is -3 and +145 at least out here but I wanted to ask, if I remember right aren't you a bills fan? and if you are ( so am I...well not lately they aggrevate the piss out of me watching them..YET I STILL WATCH) anyway have you heard anything on the new head coach out there. I have been reading Capers, Jauron or Sherman. I really hope it is Sherman I was jus curious if you heard anything?

they also had dom capers in today along with his assistant, why his assistant? i dont know

on my way in tonite the word is neither marv /modrak or wilson can make there minds up,this coming from a reporter at 1 bills drive. apparently marv may want someone, but wilson doesnt? getting crazy right now

my thinking it maybe capers afterall? but who knows, i think jauron would fit the bill? heard some real good things about him, packer fans were happy that sherman was fired

i just hope they make the right call, would also like to see cottrell back here a d-coor

thanks for the info I just hope they bring in someone with headcoaching experience because the last two haven't really impressed me although I wouldn't mind Greg williams now he is a great defensive mind IMO I think they need someone who is gonna take charge and turn this team around it seems that they are a team that is getting used to losing.....anyway thanks again and good luck this weekend

jmizeus, :iagree:

they are dogs because of the seeding and the fact that they are on the road, but when you break it down, the Panthers and Steelers are both peaking at the right time and playing the best ball of their conference

I wonder what the odds would be on a prop taking both dogs ML when no wildcard team has won 3 in a row since the format changed to what we have now(that was 1990,15 years and 60 plus previous wildcard teams ago.)No advancement to Superbowl by even one of those 60 plus, now this year BOTH will get in by beating a pair of 14-3 teams, who are both undefeated at home this season!!Thats a 200-1 shot at the very least.Taking the points may be a good play in Denver, but even the points wouldn't even save you in Seattle, but not many on this board have even bothered to look closely at that side. All you hear is weak schedule and comparative score stuff regarding the Giants and Cowpies, which is weak and not even handicapping.
