will be a covering machine this year. besides being 1 of the top teams in the nation, are well-coached, play relentless def., have experienced backcourt, and make foul shots all night long. this equals point spread covers.....btw, blowing out bucknell in lewisburg last night is more impressive than people realize.....that team is GOOD.

I agree ZMan, Bucknell beat my boys from Syracuse already this year and Villanova handled them pretty well. They definitely have a good team. As for Villanova so far, they have been a cover machine and with their experience and leadership will continue to win and cover. I'll go as far as to say they will be a final four team this year if they stay healthy.

Read an article about them in ESPN Mag. They will play with a chip on their shoulder all year. No let up after a big game win over Oklahoma this weekend vs. another good team is a great sign! :shade:

I've been on 'Nova all year. They're going to put up big numbers all year.

horrlbe loss. they should have won. they were up 12 at the half, only time they were covering, (i hated the line), and then in the 2nd half just slowly let WVU hit their shots. both teams shot over 50%, VU 93% free throws, and WVU was 75%, but hit nearly every one in the 2nd half.

but the team got complacent, didn't get agressive until they were down, and it was too late.

and some bad calls from the ref didn't help...

oh well, can't win 'em all. wednesday in rutgers! i think i may make the trip up...

it was indeed a tough loss. was at the game and never felt comfortable. wvu is well coached and tough matchup. giving up 91 was a shock....anyway, 5-2 ats to date.

was at the RAC for the game last night. Third game of I've seen live this year.

Couple of observations:

1.) Nova had no right to cover. Rutgers guy made a prayer 3 to send to overtime. However, they missed at least 6 FT's down the stretch. They should've covered the game in OT.

2.) This team will live or die with Foye. Nova was controlling (up 10 with about 8 mins till half) Foye got 2nd foul and Wright sat him the rest of half. This allowed Rutgers to get back in game and let them think they could win. Also got crowd involved. I think it was a mistake on Wright's part.
In the 2nd half Rutgers shut him down with a guard (#1) who played him real tough.

3.) Lowrey did keep them close at the end of 1st half with agressive moves to the hoop. But he had alot of TO's and he needs to go to the right. Every move to the hoop was to the left and Rutgers was overplaying him.

4.) Ray needs to play better. He Is not a team player imo.

5.) Big men were non factors. Sheridan needs to hit the wide open 8-10 footer or its going to be tough for the perimeter game.

6.) If Sumpter is ready to come back this year he should. Word is Wright wants him to red shirt. He wants to come back and he may be ready for end of Big east play. They need him bad imo

7.) Oh yeah, I like this Clark kid. A little raw, but he plays great D.

i've been doing real good at Turfway. Just using my own software program. I hit 2 p4's (1 on Friday and 1 on Sunday). I will say just find the best closers and bet them. You can make money there right now. There must be some sort of bias....

As far as the tips go, I might be getting some info from gulfstream soon.... If so, I'll post.

too bad their season had to end before the final 4. the nova fans must be so broken up over their loss. the refs couldn't hand them this game vs florida.
