Has anyone seen better then 20-1 for Gonzaga to win it all? I think they could be the darkhorse this year, coming from the west with less coverage..

On another note:
If Uconn blows out Louisville this weekend, it will continue to be a downward spiral for the Cards, Dean is playing hurt and they really don't have anyone yet to feed him the ball, Palacios and Padget are getting better, but it will be awhile before they can compete with the top 25 teams in the nation. I can't bring myself to bet against my team, but I think other people can make some money betting against them... They lost to many people to the pros over the last few years... Including Amir Johnson and Sebastian Telfair..

Oh well, no help in the odds department so I threw down on:

Gonzaga 20-1
Indiana 25-1
Texas 10-1
Florida 12-1

If someone can take out Duke and UConn during the tourney, I think one of these four will have a good shot...

save your money on gonzaga

this team can not and will not make ANY stops when it needs to in March....especially vs athletic teams.....their defense it HORRIBLE......with the right draw this team will exit in the second round, again.

florida will exit the tourney before gonzaga. not being critical of your bets by any stretch. its that i think gonzaga is a better team than florida and considerably so (though im not sure either gets past the sweet 16)

cant comment on fla as i havent seen them that much but have seen the zags a number of times

morrision is what he is.....a great scorer (not shooter) but he gives it up almost as much as he puts it in

ravio is a midget who can and will get exposed by bigger more athletic guards

see alabama and texas tech the last few years as examples....this team get's eaten alive vs bigger, athletic guards and come march this team is now put under the microscope as the "favorite" and they have NOT fared well....in fact they have more wins as a dd seed than as a single digit seed

gone in round 2 as a 2-3 seed vs a 6-7/10-11 seed.....maybe vs arizona in utah as a rematch from 4 years ago!!!!

Well Louisville continues to suck, 0-18 starting at 3's against UCONN, pathetic, hope some people are starting to notice it now, seriously cannot believe they are still in the top 25, who have they beat? :scared

On another note, I am taking another shot on the Jeckyl and Hyde Kentucky Wildcats. Normally would not go against my alma mater, but they are about as good as Louisville. Hence Ky should cover the 4.

3 units

1-1-1 -.3 units

Took this from the Louisville paper, on Pitino's reaction to Louisville's #22 ranking:

Pitino said he was "mildly shocked" to see U of L (13-5, 1-4) at No. 22 in The Associated Press poll and No. 23 in the USA Today/ESPN coaches' poll despite three straight losses.

"I think people realize we're without Taquan Dean and playing tough teams," he said.

We will see tonight, when Louisville gets a shot to get on track against at least some teams in the 8ig east. I thouht at the start of the season they would win 9 or 10, and they need to win 8 out of the next 11 to do that, not likely with another game at Nova, at UConn, at Syracuse ( a may8e win), at West Virginia, at Cincinnati, and Marquette at home, they will 8e lucky to win 2 of those.

Alas, i think they will get a hard fought win over a familiar rival at home for the fifth straight time..

Louisville-1 for 3 units :)

I agree with gjn's assessment of Gonzaga.

Morrison's a big-time scorer but he has to light it up, 'cause he sure doesn't defend - like the rest of his teammates. I liken him to Chris Mullin.

Zags do have problems with athletic teams and one cannot underestimate the different psychological mindset of being the hunted rather than the hunter.

Ok, I got to get a new thread going... adding Tenn-5 for 2 units, this team should capitalize on the many bulldog turnovers, hopefully they don't come out flat, this Lofton kid looks like the real deal!

Upped Louisville to 4 units

gl all!

3-1-1 +6.7 units with Tenn up 22 under 4 to go..

Cards looked like a different team tonight, maybe they finally get the point that they have to move around on offense, the return of Dean and a monster game by Palacios made this one an easy one...

Will keep this thread going while its working...

UAB +10 2 units

Memphis is definitely the class of the league, and explosive, however UAB plays good defense and well on the road and should stay close in this game... GL ALL
