So I am home from work and looking foreward to watching replays of the championship games, especially the Steeler game and of course that jack ass Stuart Scott has to be on SPortsCenter, fawk.

Seriously, this guy takes annoying to a whole new level. With all the ESPN channels out there you would think they would creat ESPN GHETTO so him and Stephen A(sshole) Smith would have an audience that can actually tolerate them.

THEN I have to wait through the "Top Story" of Kobe Bryant dropping 81 points on a shitty Toronto team for a team that won't even make the playoffs. Who gives a fawk? Hey Kobe, nice that you mixed in two assists while you chucked it up 46 times.

WTF ESPN get your shit together will ya.

This is a prime example of a major corporation ****ing up a great, creative thing. ESPN was so good before the "suits" started making the calls.

I just don't see how committees and boards make this bad of decisions.

ESPN is very simple to understand.

The Olympics are on NBC....very little mention
The "Winter X games" are on ESPN....waay to much hype

Hockey was on ESPN years (2) ago....too much coverage
Hockey is on OLN...no coverage at all

NBA had NBA on NBC contract...fair amount of coverage
NBA on ESPN...booo-yuck, :sadwave:

I hate to predict, but with FOX having the BCS next year, I'm sure ESPN will diminish thier CFB coverage after the regular season.

ESPN is nothing but a ABC/Disney/ESPN propaganda machine that pumps up whatever programming that is covered by its won entities. It's sad that it's so blantant and excessive. I understand slanting a bit a the coverage, but the extent that they do it is sick.

Remember Boxing? Oh yea, its still a sport but without a Disney connection ESPN doesn't cover anyting about it until a boxer dies or rapes someone.

Do you know anyone who watches the IRL? ESPN covers every race

Don't get ne started about the ESPN artifical inflation of the LPGA and the WNBA. :cursin:

81 points is NBA History... that's 2nd all time for a single game and you wouldn't have that as top story!?!?

btw that your whole post comes off as racist

If not wanting to watch some jack asses that act like they're in a rap video while giving me a rundown of sporting events, then put me in the racist group as well.......It's sports! You have a job because of the games, the games are not there because of you. You report on the games, not like you are auditioning for the Gong Show or have your own public access show out of your basement.

Regular season vs. Two Championship games in the most popular sport in the country.

A self-absorbed selfish player attempting to "make history" by not being a team player and hogging the ball vs. Four teams working together attempting to make it to the biggest games of their lives.

How can you put Kobe (pled out of court) Bryant's performance ahead of Shawn Alexanders shedding of postgame mediocrity or the Bus's "going home" to play the Superbowl in his final year.

Kobe's selfish play ranks a distant third in my list of individual achievements from last night.

Be careful who you call racist and why.

Just because someone does not watch Lifetime does not make one sexist.

Just because an individual will not pay to see "Brokeback Mountain" does not make them homophobic.

Just because a person does not care for Stu Scott's "keeping it real yo" jargon does not make me them a racist.

ok fair enough blazer... although it wasn't your post i was talking about... it was the ESPN Ghetto comment

but in your previous post, you talk about the ESPN coverages with sports and how it falls in line with what they carry

well of course... they are a business and going to market their sports because of the almighty dollar... its why we see ABC advertising nontstop for Lost or CBS with Survivor

theyre selling their product and they want you tuning in to them... not NBC and the olympics

i dont agree with all their sports coverage either but it is the way it is

Racist? Oh oh, looks like we got a hatta in da houze.

Please don't get straight saucy wit me.

Kobe's performance was straight yoked up yo, you are right about that.

Calling me racist is flat out banannas bro.

The Ghetto comment reflects what I hear from Stuart Scott, not racism, it is what it is. Unless you consider having an education over the 4th grade and not being entertained by this mess is racist.

But I think PF's point is the way they are packaging their product is turning more people off than on to them.

I, for one, used to make sure I saw Sportscenter every morning. Now, I can't stand to watch it.

They may have some punks that really like watching it or really think their sophmoric humor is funny, but how much money do they have to spend (because it's ALL about the advertising dollars)?

Disney is screwing themselves on this one.

I like the quick racist accusation, though. Very good debating tool.

Just saw the poll on espn.com about whether or not Barry Bonds should play in the Classic... Yes, No or Don't Care, myself, I could care less what a Roids Star does so I chose Don't Care, turns out 62% of the 7500 voters agree with me... :mj07:

Espn :s4: Me when I go somewhere else to get my sports recap...

You cant be serious. It was the single greatest performance in any NBA game EVER.

You call Kobe a ball hog, Wilt took 17 more shots & 12 more FTA when he put up 100, plus his team was intentionally fouling the other team to get him more shots. Kobe & the Lakers WOULD NEVER do that.

Selfish, far from it. When he wasnt shooting that much his team trailed by 17 in the 2nd Q. He took over & his team won by 15 or so. That isnt selfish, that's dominating, thats taking over a game. You wont see a performance like this in the NBA again for who knows how long. Selfish, I dont think many selfish players are consistently on the NBA All-defensive team. Was Jordan selfish? He averaged more shots per game than Kobe does in his first 7 years.

Two blowout wins in the NFL, (hell if the NFL had any say they would try & put some commericals in the highlights) should not come above HISTORY in the NBA. Those were two of the worst championship games have a seen in long while.

I hate the NBA. Hate it. Havent watch a full game in years, but come on give credit where credit is due. Kobe was an athlete in another world last night, far superiour to what anyone did in any of those NFL games.

Get some perspective & realize what is going on outside your world.

Sorry Hoss, the world doesnt revolve around Pittsburgh. Thank God for small miracles. Get over it.

BTW, I haven't watched ESPN in a long while, now that I think of it. :poke

Used to be a daily thing.

I used to get off ESPN once NBA started (and hockey) and only watched for MLB season (highlights) and some college news.

Now it's like I cant even remember what channel it's on unless there's a good college game (which is getting rare).
