Tiffany told me today on Oprah, the guy who wrote "A Million LIttle Pieces" the bestseller about a drug addict, was BULL$HIT

He was on the show, due to rumors spreading about the book, thanks to a "smoking gun" report

and sure enought 90% of book is bullshat.

Guy has made tons of mone and IMO readers should get money back for book.

The Smoking Gun report that broke it down was absolutely brilliant journalism. The uncovered so much stuff and completely exposed it. I very recently read this book and still found it pretty gripping, even knowing most was BS (like the dentist part... I didn't need any big news story to tell me that was a crock). But it was good to see the truth get exposed.

Now I'm just curious what parts of it actually ARE true.

Just finished the book today, it's absolutely great. Yes, it's too bad it's BS but I've got to say it's probably the best book I've read the last 4-5 yrs.

is it still the best book you've read in the last 4-5yrs thinking it was true and now knowing that 80% isn't, every character was changed or made up? I just think it is disappointing that it was put out as non-fiction when in reality much of it was imbellished to make the author look better...

of course yyz had it figured out from the start and he'll spend the rest of his life reminding us of it....

Have some mixed feelings here. While I acknowledge that it loses some effect if the story is fabricated, I also think it's an entertaining tale and something can be taken away from it. I guess you just have to go into reading the book now with an open mind and take it for what it is, fiction.

Just goes to show you, the old saying is true, something to the effect of believe half of what you see and nothing of what you hear (or read is this case)...

:mj07: Did Worm get a credit on this book?

I don't spend my time reading books, sorry. I've never found that to be a very entertaining way to pass time, so I won't be one of the guys pretending I read it to look cool for this thread.

yyz----you not reading books I think surprises no one on this website....as far as the book and looking cool for this thread, I have read it and as a fiction read, it is great, but as a memoir, what a farce...didn't see Oprah, but wish I had
