North (+1) over the South
1st SF is the coaching staff of the South, that alone speaks volumes of the coach that is calling the plays. Poor coaching normally means nothing but I would like to point out Houston Nutt in the Shrine game on a 1st and goal with a second to go calls a run from 3 yards?? The same play he called THREE times from that spot earlier. I have to admit I have watched the coverage f the senior bowl practices and the South receivers have had major drops this week. Hakney has not been a factor, Croyle has looked good and Shockley has shown a VERY strong arm but of the three Croyle has looked the sharpest and is the most dangerous for this South team. That being said running QBs always make a big difference in these type games and Shockley is a good scrambler. On the North side Charlie Whitehurts, Micheal Robinson and Jay Cutler all three in my opinion are better than what the South have to work with. The O-line for the North is VERY good. Ferguson, Trueblood, Lutui and Mangold have looked extremely solid. The Edge in the TE's goes to the South but the Edge in LBs goes to the North. WR edge IMO goes to the North with solid speed and more importantly size on the CB. Defensive back play is a push, but safety is stronger in the South. D-line the edge is in the North they have a lot of good team players that are strong and quick to get into the back field of the South. The Edge in RB goes to the South because I think Williams is a very good back but Jerrome Harrison to make an impact on the scouts today from the north. Also the South has a big edge in the FB department with Vickers. All in all these are two good teams but the player on the north have size and power on both sides of the line while they have in my mind the best QB on the field Cutler. Look for this kid with an o-line and playmakers to have a very good game.
Cheers
