m' fuker. how in the fuk did they beat my tigers ? obbviously i know how they did it as i watched the game. however, what a lazy bunch of ba$tards. getting beat on every loose ball and not guarding the 3pt line at all. fuk me as i knew i was pushing it taking tx in a rivalry game on the road, but i am still pissed by the terrible lack of D, and brad buckman - you are a puke, period. i have long bragged about this slow fuk and how fundamental he was. he is a sr and i used to like him. tonight he looks slow, unmotivated, and a complete waste of 6'10". :cursin:

how in the fuk do all these ba$tards from oky start hitting 3's out of no where? the last one being a bank shot....

buckman=bitch.

i just saw the same oky fuker bank in his second shot that he did not call "glass" on. fuk me for trying to be a greedy ignorant fuk.

gray looks like kevin mchale :cursin:

anyway, texas has no bench and i hope my tigers are watching.....

by the way, how did that inbred ever win ms. america..... :s4:

Texas vs OU in not a rivalry game in basketball. Football...yes. Every game in the Big XII could be considered a rivalry game. Home court means a ton.

that actually made me smile. :)

hawt? are kidding me. she looks like tammy faye baker did her makeup. she could definitely win a stare eyes competition - her eyes would be glued shut if she ever blinked.

Because in all honesty I dont think the Tigers all that great either.

UConn is winning the whole enchilada. Maybe Texas, Puke or Memphis are unconscious for 3 weeks and can beat them, but I doubt it.

Not sure I have ever seen a year with so many pretenders and ranked teams that arent worthy. The committee this year wont be worrying about keeping out deserving teams, but rather which undeserving teams to include.

And Dayad it isnt as big as football but it is a rivalry game, especially to OU.

I'm firmly believe Texas is pretty overrated. They have no bench at all. Aldridge and Tucker are great, and Gibson can play every now and again, but they don't ever seem to all play well in the same game.

Bubbles I wouldnt say overrated when you comnpare to what is out there, but the rest of your post is spot on.

Nobody beats them if those 3 come to play, which is why thye COULD win it all, but I havent seen any signs of it. Tonight you saw how Aldridge can dominate - he should ahve gotten the ball every time down. But Gibson pouts if he goes 43 seconds without a shot or at least dribbling for the entire shot clock.

i am really just pissed because i bet this game
tx in a tough situation.
i know better. however, tj ford (i really liked that little guy) spoiled me. tx was very talented over the last several years and i have just expected them to cover my $$ when i decide to bet. ford, tucker, boddicker, buckman, klotz - this was a team i fared well with.

i know why texas beat memphis, but i am not going to type all of that $hit after the fact. i will say that tucker beat us by himself in the 2nd half and our coach should be flogged publicly for not making adjustments..... :cursin:

on a side note, the tigers are as talented as any team in the country (except uconn) and could beat anyone if they would play smarter. this is not just bias. i am as critical of memphis as anyone. wareagle and i used to argue a bit on this forum because i would roast memphis at any given time.

the tigers settle for too many 3's, our only center has been on the bench for 1/2 the year and we play in a $hitty conference. if the tigers do not go deep in the tourney i truly believe it will be due to a lack of good comp for the better part of 2 months. again i blame the coach for not scheduling a tough game late in the season. conf usa is a joke. :cursin:

edited: i forgot about mouton, sorry. liked him to. good effort guy and a senior as well.

anyway, i never said that the oky whore wasn't fukable - just not worthy of ms america.

An oversimplification, but John Calipari is never gonna take a team to the promised land. I truly believe he is not only a slimeball but not much of a basketball coach. No matter how talented they are, he will find a way to **** it up.

he is a used car salesman in a wise guy suit. we may end up so talented that memphis does win a NT in the next couple of years. the nba rule will benefit memphis as much as any other school - amare stoudamire, kendrick perkins, qwentel woods, wagner, - 3 we missed and 1 we got (too bad) wagner f'd our year. memphis is umass a decade later, but we will get more players due to the nba ruling.

he did take umass to final night---not many coaches win it all, and many great ones never win a crown

Elvis, You're right about no bench for Texas. Only 10 healthy bodies - 5 starters and 5 subs - 2 frosh, 2 soph., 1 juco. Only Abrams, a frosh gd., can play a lick. Buckman is only listed as 6'8" - Aldridge is 6'10". I had it 'capped at pick, but couldn't play against my Horns. That's where your heart costs you money. We'll get 'em in Austin. Go Horns.

(ur right cuse/ky made it that year, sorry its late)

that said, they lost in another year to a great coach eddie sutton and reeves in regional--that was a great game ... I think Okie st either beat WF and duncan the regional final or game b4 Umass, regardless those were all 3 fine teams too ... shoulda coulda wouldas is easy to say, until you coach, many times you have a shot and dont get the bounce, etc... the wizard didnt win a crown until he was 52 ...

i know some years Ive coached we lost in state semis with better teams than won the state title, just having good teams doesnt auto advance you ... people can say coach K has choked, but he has 3 titles, and lost some grueling finals and semis ... the year he beat unlv in final four semi might be his best coaching job ever, but people will pt. to his loss to uconn and rip and counter that ... hes not my fave but winning isnt easy ... dean has been cited on carpet, lute too, you can chastise almost anyone, and many seem to do it on this board ...

I wonder how many of you have ever coached at any level and found out there is no corner on smarts, bounces, breaks, refs, talent, etc ... for each heartbreak teams have, any coach will tell you the fortune they had at another moment, Edneys dash, nova's 78%, nc st's airball dunk pass, laettners heave, freddie brown faux pas, on and on ... its pretty naive to think fortune doesnt play into it or every coach should make final four every year :)

who are the great ones to you?

I salute the ones who consistently make the tourney in such a tough biz and even win a game a game or two

OU shot 54% and 40% from 3 pt land, including some effin BANK SHOTS that somehow went in. the Horns did give them some wide open looks from the perimeter, but when a team shoots 54% on you, you arent going to win many games.

texas had been giving up just 31% shooting their last 10 games. i didnt quite see the same defensive intensity here though. combine that with some fortunate/good shooting from OU and that equals a loss.
