Am I missing something here? Any injuries I'm not aware of? Maybe some of you Mac guys can help here. I had this game capped at 9 before the numbers came out, so imagine my surprise. Like to know what others thoughts are.

Well, I am in no hurry to back a team that is 1-9 ATS in their last 10 games. Northern struggled to put away a really bad CMU team in their last outing under similar circumstances. Eastern is a really bad team as well,and their ATS record is nearly as weak as Northern's. I have seen both teams live this year and
while I would tend to agree with you that Northern is the much better team in general, it just seems to me that they have slipped a bit since the OU win, and laying road chalk to a hungry EMU squad is a very risky proposition.

I am staying away from this game, so good luck if you back the Huskies today.

Thanks Spang.....I have tremendous respect for your Mac knowledge and views.

There are a couple of things in this game I can't ignore. E. Michigan simply doesn't appear to be a very good team, and after that last travesty against Toledo, I wonder what their confidence level is? Losing 9 straight isn't good for your ego either.

NIU is shooting a league high 47.4 FG% while E. Michigan is just about at the bottom of every team category of the league. Not that you don't know this already.

NIU has 3 players averaging double digit scoring, while E. Michigan puts all its hopes on Bowler. I had heard that he has been fighting the after effects of the flu??

NIU comes up strong in several spots on one of my models and my numbers are usually 1-2 points close to opening line. 4 is a big discrepancy so I feel comfotable laying this spot. Played last night when it first came out, I was hoping for some line movement, but it hasn't budged.

NIU is the better team on paper, and due to the confidence of E.Michigan I'm going to make it a small play for 3 units. It may have been larger, but you talked me off. I don't like the 1-9 ATS stat.

At least this one came home for me. My numbers haven't been too far off. NIU wins by 12.
