Ladies and Gentlemen, just a note that CAUSE TO BELIEVE with Russell Baze is a strong contender when that first week of May comes around at Churchill Downs for the Kentucky Derby.
This horse has and is very versatile (sprints, longer routes, inside, outside), has the pedigree and is continually improving. Plus the fact that Russell Baze is the most underrated jock in the business and Jerry Hollindorfer (trainer) makes this a horse to look at very closely.
CAUSE TO BELIEVE will most likely run two more preps in California and his win in the El Camino Real Derby (Grade III) at Bay Meadows can best be decribed as enlightening. He had a decent trip on the inside, but had to squeeze through the rail when asked and boy did he.
Just trying to keep people updated in prep for this year's Triple Crown.
Hope it helps.

Thanx, it's in the book. He'll need to participate in some of the upcomig Derby trials, SA, Oaklawn to name a couple.
He won a Stakes today at BM in good time but barely. Off to a big start. Keep us posted.

Ran his eyeballs out today in the El Camino Real Derby, made the "big name" horses look like claimers...

Every horse that wins a Derby prep is a contender. And every horse that wins a derby prep they think hes the next coming of Secretariat.

Take a look at ITSALLABOUTTHECHASE ...

If it makes the big race, I will have it in ALL of my gimmicks.

Thanks Mully

Thanks Mully

Just wanted to start a thread that could actively pursue and track the Derby Contenders.
ITSALLABOUTTHECHASE. Looks great and let's see who gets in.
Note - Henny Hughes, runner-up in last year's Breeders' Cup Juvenile, did not run last Friday's UAE 2000 Guineas at Nad Al Sheba after failing to impress in a workout on Monday morning. The 1 1/8-mile United Arab Emirates Derby may be Henny Hughes' next on March 25. Always have to keep our eye out for Millennium Stables and their money.

I bet 4 horses in pool 1:
Barbaro 19/1 - won first try on dirt Sat.

Bluegrass Cat 15/1 - Pletcher's best horse so far, controlled the 1 1/8 mile Remsen from gate to wire

Henny Hughes 27/1 I bet him in the Juv., out of Hennesey, love 27/1

Your Tent or Mine 21/1 I can't find my charts for him now but I think he has ran some fast races and I have alot of respect for Drysdale horse.

I can't wait for the big preps to start then we'll seperate a lot of pretenders. Good luck!

Threw $10 on this bad boy at 10-1 odds at pinny. I figure if he wins the Santa Catalina next weekend, his odds may drop a tad.
