I know its a freakin All Star game but I feel the wrong team is favored in this one...I've been following the practices this week and was waiting for the line to be posted...it's wrong!!

NORTH +1 over the South

The North has as many as eight First Round Prospects on its Roster compared to the Souths three...the North has the better Qb rotation, a much better offensive line, a better defensive line and better linebackers...the South only gets the nod for the better running backs while the secondarys are even...one NFL Scout was quoted as saying that this is the WORST South squad that he has seen assembled in Mobile...I don't know if I'd go that far but...the North has the better personnel and they are coached by Jeff Fisher and the Titans staff while the South is coached by Mike Nolan and his Niners staff...I'm guessing the oddsmakers made the South a 1 point chalk because the game is being played in the South in Mobile Alabama...but...I strongly believe the wrong team is favored in this one!

Come on, Derek, that's a bit harsh. He provides reasoning, which I appreciate. I have seen many times that a narrow favorite is only favored because of an earlier blowout, and if the blown out team were made the favorite in the next game, they couldn't get the desired money split. Example was bleed's pick of Min over SA, i think it was (in NBA) a couple weeks ago. i can't recall if min was a 1pt dog or favorite, but bleed called it correctly.

It's quite plausible that if the South has won for a number of years, and the North is actually better this year, the number would be shaded against that fact, because the public perception would be that the south is better and always wins. I appreciate the tip on the north. May play it an over, if this is the no-blitz game, always seems to go way over.

Thanks guys...I figured the North would be at least -3 when the line came out but was shocked when the South was favored!

really, how tough was that now? you obviously just decided to bet against norv turner :mj07:


hell, he is the only coach to hold deangelo williams under a 100yds all season :cursin:

kidding of course, but i missed most of the game. i was cleaning out my new house. when i got home my wife told me the south was losing. i said ok. she said " anyone should know the south is going to lose - norv turner is one of the off coach" :clap:

i truly love this woman..... :mj14:

You guys just avoided another bombshell!

You ALMOST had Mike Martz as your new head coach! :shocked:

Just when you though it couldn't get any worse than Norv, it almost did!

Just hope Al isn't thinking about bringing Art Shell back! :nooo:
