From their own website: Tonights game notes

Winning and J.R. Blount go hand-in-hand as the freshman guard has posted a 63-10 (.863) record in his last three seasons of competition, including the first 19 games of his collegiate career. The 6-foot-1 guard helped lead Dominican High School in Whitefish Bay, Wis., to back-to-back Division III state titles in 2004 and 2005. Blount was notching 12.7 ppg and 2.7 rpg, on .632 (12 for 19) shooting from the field, in his last three outings before missing the last three games due to a stress fracture in his left foot. A starter in the first 16 games this season, Blount is expected to be out at least two weeks.

Thanks Spang, Blount has been out two weeks today. They have been playing well without him, having won 3 of their last 4 games. In the first match-up Wis MiL won by 3 points but needed 10 (3's) & 33 FTA's to 18 FTA's for Chi to get it done.

I read today that Gman thinks that Wis MiL totally dominated the first game, I think it's easy to win at home when you have the whistle in your pocket. I don't think the disparity between MiL and Chi is that great and look for Chi to make a run in the second 1/2 with or without Blount and move up the conference ladder. Whitesell has done a great job and will own this league before long. Chi is 18-8 L 26 & playing strong (D) the last 5, good spot to bag a big skin.

I hope this is just one more case of perception -vs- reality. This Wis MiL club has been very good for the house. Their last ATS run is : 0-5-1 . Loy Chi is on a ATS run of 3-1-1.. The money is all over MiL again, tonights game will be their toughest test to date and they won't get it done. Loy Chi controlled the boards in the first game and should do the same again, this team has won 3 of 4 with out Blount and I look for Kou to get 20 and Chi wins at home 81- 69... The key is the home court, so if the game is called even or in their favor,Loy Chi should get the cash. Take the points for insurance only. Don't think they cover if they don't win.

milwaukee's problem has been getting complacent in the 2h of games and not throwing the knockout punch.

in that 6 game stretch you mentioned:

against butler on 1/7, they led by 11 with 15:00 left and won by 5.

against loyola on 1/11, they led by 12 at the break, maintained an 11 point lead with 14:00 left, and won by 3

against green bay 1/14, they led by 8 at the break, got it to double-digits early in the 2nd half and then folded for an outright loss

against detroit on 1/18, they played poorly and needed a late rally to win. probably their worst game in this stretch

against wright state on 1/21, they led by 11 early on but let wright state make it a game in the 2nd half

and against youngstown the other night, they led by 13 with 7:00 to go before letting ysu rally to within 2 before ultimately losing by 8.

so its almost impossible to get uwm to play from behind. you just have to hope they get complacent and let you hang around in the final 10:00, which they've certainly done lately.

should be noted that milwaukee won the 3 meetings last year by 17, 7, and 18 and both teams return their lineups pretty much intact from last season, so im not sure how much things are going to change. im staying away from this one because i do respect loyola on their home court under whitsell. but milwaukee is capable of dominating.

Thanks Gman, the only thing that I hope changes and it has the last 4 games is the chemistry. In the first game Majak Kou took 5 shots, since than he has averaged 20pts + & they look more like a team. Last years team with Gouard looked more like Syracuse with Gerry Mc.
