milwaukee's problem has been getting complacent in the 2h of games and not throwing the knockout punch.
in that 6 game stretch you mentioned:
against butler on 1/7, they led by 11 with 15:00 left and won by 5.
against loyola on 1/11, they led by 12 at the break, maintained an 11 point lead with 14:00 left, and won by 3
against green bay 1/14, they led by 8 at the break, got it to double-digits early in the 2nd half and then folded for an outright loss
against detroit on 1/18, they played poorly and needed a late rally to win. probably their worst game in this stretch
against wright state on 1/21, they led by 11 early on but let wright state make it a game in the 2nd half
and against youngstown the other night, they led by 13 with 7:00 to go before letting ysu rally to within 2 before ultimately losing by 8.
so its almost impossible to get uwm to play from behind. you just have to hope they get complacent and let you hang around in the final 10:00, which they've certainly done lately.
should be noted that milwaukee won the 3 meetings last year by 17, 7, and 18 and both teams return their lineups pretty much intact from last season, so im not sure how much things are going to change. im staying away from this one because i do respect loyola on their home court under whitsell. but milwaukee is capable of dominating.
