I'm from a small town in Ohio and talk a lot of football with people that are generally pretty knowledgeable when it comes to NFL football. Just for the hell of it, I thought I would consciously ask 20 people who they liked in the Super Bowl.

12 said Pitt overwelmingly (by at least 10)
8 said Pitt would cover the spread
0 like Seattle at all

Granted, there is a good mix of Pitt faithful in that number, however, these same people weren't nearly as enthusiastic about Pitt beating Denver, as it seems they are about Pitt beating Seattle.

I'd be curious to see other sites or info on what the "public" is saying about this game. But, in my opinion, if you like Pitt, you're not alone.

Unicorn,

I just took it to be pretty much a "given" that most folks are on Pitts.

Read AR182's thread. There is an article in there that shows you where the money is. I'll give you a hint it is very onesided and it is not on Seattle.
