Wow we dont agree on anything. I will try to put this a lot less arrogantly than you would in the political forum.

I like to think that I know a little about college hoops. In the preseason I made Northern Iowa 5 points better on a neutral court over Kansas. Based on 5 returning starters to kansas's. A solid backcourt edge, even up front, and just one of the smartest team concepts in the country. 5 starters off a 21 win team almost always translates into a top 25 team.

Keep in mind tonights win over the coach that the game passed by was niot voted on.

kansas just went into Hilton and spanked a team that was clearly outclassed

does northern iowa clearly outclass iowa state?

i dont think so

there is no way northern iowa has a backcourt edge versus kansas...that is nonsensical

northern iowa has played well pretty much the entire season, whereas kansas is finally starting to come together after a nice 2 week stretch.

but losing to missouri and kansas state in back to back games (with the ksu game being at home) is reason enough for many to be skeptical of the jayhawks.

a month from now, they might (and probably will) be better than northern iowa. but right now, i think northern iowa has shown a little more consistency and i dont see how kansas should have a top 25 ranking when less than three weeks ago, they lost b2b games to very mediocre teams.

I agree, but KU backcourt IS better now and has SOOOO much more potential. I think Northern Iowa is just more experienced as a team, KU plays like the best of em when they are all flowing but sometimes they just are confused and terrible. Expereince brings consistency

i agree with y'all...UNI is better - for now.

I just can't see how they lost to a sorry team like K-State.

I think these are valid arguments on both sides. I'm just not convinced that NIU is the best team from the Valley. It is nice to see mid-majors get recognized though.

Based on the line in tonight's tilt I have to think that Northern Iowa's stay in the rankings will be a short one - Creighton without Funk favored over the newly ranked Panthers? Hmmmm.......

I for one will be invested in it.

I agree here. Even though Missouri and KSU are two mediocre-to-above average teams that are dangerous to anyone on their home courts, losing both of those shows vulnerability. UNI's only losses have been spaced out amongst ISU, Bradley in OT, and their nemesis they play again tonight, Creighton, by 3.

Kansas is playing great ball right now. They're back-to-back convincinging wins @ Tx A*M and @ Iowa State could not be done by Northern Iowa. UNI could also not beat Nebraska by 42! Kansas has far more talent than UNI as amywhere from 3 to 5 guys on the Kansas roster should be playing in the NBA. UNI has NONE! Jacobson is a nice college player, but he'll be lucky to play oversees.

Right now, Kansas is playing like a top 20 team and could be a surprise team in the NCAA Tourney.

I'm a kansas fan, but no. iowa deserves to be ranked. The missouri valley is almost as good as the big 12. They will get at least three teams in the tourney this year. So. Ill, No. Iowa & wichita get in, feel creighton is on the bubble, & missouri st & bradley have to potential to win their conference tourney. Huge game for Creighton tonight, would be the best team in the conference if Funk wasn't out for the year. Would rather watch that game tonight instead of florida vs. mississippi, but we know how that works.

Kansas is playing awesome, & feel they will be ranked after they beat oklahoma this sunday, & feel they could go far in the tournament because they are a tough team to match up with.

Love kansas, but been watching missouri valley all year, & it's a very good conference.

I love KU and have for about 13 years now. They are my team, BUT I dont know how deep they will go in the tourney, I think they are playing alot better and more as a unit, but KU CANNOT contend with a physical front court. They are quick and score well in the front court, but they are all lightwieghts and the toughest guy IMO is Moody.
