S Florida vs Cincinnati 08:00 pm Cincinnati -13.5

Other Big East teams
have been confused by South
Florida's center-in-the-high post offense, but
Cincinnati has been playing these guys twice a
year in C-USA. They know South Florida.

They also remember that when they felt like bowing
out of the C-USA Tournament early last season
(nothing to gain), South Florida beat them 80-68.
Head coach Andy Kennedy is reminding the Bearcats
about that right now. Last season's first meeting
was an absolute pasting engineered by Cincinnati,
74-48 on South Florida's home floor.

Cincinnati takes care of the rock. In fact, in their
last game, they turned it over only four times. South
Florida does not take care of it. Out of 334 Division
1-A teams, they have the highest number of offensive
possessions that result in turnovers. Not good.

Western Kentucky -6.5 very big

This is a Western Kentucky team that has won nine of its last 10 games on the scoreboard and is a solid 5-2 ATS on the highway this season. The Toppers lead the Sun Belt in scoring (79.1 ppg) and should easily have enough to get past a Golden Panther squad that struggles to score (60.4 ppg).

Florida International makes less than 40 percent of its shots and sports an overall shooting percentage that is only slightly better than Western Kentucky's three-point shooting percenatge (38.1).

It wasn't that long ago that Florida International was in the midst of an 11-game SU losing skid. They've since won two straight over also-rans New Orleans and Louisiana-Lafayette, but this team is rusty having not played a game in 10 days.

Last year at Pharmed Arena, the Golden Panthers halted an 13-game losing streak to Western Kentucky with a two-point upset win. But in the previous three meetings, the Hilltoppers had scored double digit wins of 16, 31 and 13 points.

There's a chance that Hilltopper shooting guard Courtney Lee might not play due to a hip contusion. My feeling is he will, but even if he doesn't, the Hilltoppers will move point guard Ty Rogers in his spot as Western Kentucky has several capable ball-handlers.

Western Kentucky is better than the Golden Panthers (there's a reason why Florida International has just five SU wins this year) at both ends of the court and the Hilltoppers will score this win and cover!
