Ipod question....hopefully a simple one

When downloading songs on my son's ipod shuffle ALL the songs from the library are downloading not just the ones that I checked.

Solution is probably very simple yet I can't figure it out.

I think somewhere there is an option to have your ipod automatically download music files upon connection. You would need to disable this I guess. Sorry I'm not more help, just installed and started using it myself but am pretty sure I saw that.

You can also find out at www.ipodlounge.com.

They have messageboards, and if you do a search or post you will get an answer.

This is what I did

This is what I did

I just changed this on my ipod a couple weeks ago. Open up itunes with your ipod connected...When your ipod shows up in the left pane, right click and choose eject...that'll disconnect it. In the bottom right hand corner you'll see four icons, click the one that looks like an ipod. Under the ipod tab, choose Manually update library. Hope this helps...
