Pitt (-4) over Seattle
The steelers are coming into their own and playing very good football of late. Seattle played a perfect game two weeks ago and it is very hard to string those types of games together as an NFL team. The Steelers look like they will have the answer for the running game of Seattle. We it comes time to take the check to the bank the hawks run left and look for Troy to hit that hole like a missile. The steelers line should be able to hold their blocks and open holes for the RB. The WR for both teams will be able to get open but IMO the steelers will have better luck hitting them because the blitz of Pitt should get more pressure that Seattle will get with their front 4. Both team struggle in the secondary and it will be who steps up in that department. All in all IMO Seattle is a paper team that has gotten lucky with facing teams in the playoffs and really is not as battle tested as the Steelers. The AFC was a 10 point fav the teams were announce now the line is a 4 points because this put #6 seed Pitt against #1 seed Seattle. All in all the steelers have a big edge on defense and this is typically a home game for Pitt and the Seahawks have a tough time on the road. Look for Big Ben to have some success with slants as the Seattle defense does not mix up defensive coverage well. They covered Smith against the Panthers and Delhome had a tough time throwing else where considering they had 4th string RB in and no threat of a run. Against Washington the Redskins could not do anything on offense yet they still only lost by 10. I expect the steelers to keep the seahawks on their toes offensively all day and I would think hasselbeck who has made big mistakes in the past, to feel the pressure of the blitz and forces throws. I would like to see Porter Haggins, Foote and Farrior to fill the gaps and stop the run as they did against Indy and Denver. If the base defense can stop the run the Seattle offense will sputter and fail on long 3rd downs. I would like to see the terrible towels flying and the steelers to come out hot because then they can get on top and never look back. Take away that left side and the running game will be in trouble. I like the steelers defense considering they shut down E. James and the Broncos backs.

Should have some prop plays and perhaps an over/under look come Sunday.

Cheers

Some Prop plays for today:

Coin Toss
(HEADS)

Will there be a Defensive or Special Teams Touchdown (YES)

Will Either Team Score 3 Straight Times w/o Other Team Scoring (NO)

2006 Super Bowl XL MVP
(JEROME BETTIS)

Seahawks - Total First Downs: Over 18.5
(OVER) - Seattle averages 22.4 first downs per game this year, Pittsburgh allows 17.1. Simple math says the Seahawks should get about 20.

Steelers - Total First Downs: Over 19.5
(UNDER) - Pittsburgh averages 18.8 first downs per game this year, Seattle allows 17.6. The math here does not add up to 20 first downs.

Total Sacks By Both Teams: Over 4.5
(OVER) - Both teams record about 4 sacks per game and allow around 2. Interpolation indicates that each team should see around 3 sacks on Sunday.

Team With The Most Penalty Yards
(PITT) - Pittsburgh has been penalized 59 YPG this season and Seattle 49 YPG.
