That Hasselback tackle penalty cost his team 15 yards. From the 28 to the 43. He wouldn't have been in a must tackle situation had he not thrown the pick, but I guess that was the ref's fault too.
The refs didn't force Stevens ( loudmouth who provided bulletin board material--GENIUS!) to drop three passes. The refs didn't force the Seattle punter to kick into the endzone FOUR times.
The refs didn't force Seattle coaching staffs to brain-fart managing the clock at both halves' ends.
The refs didn't hold MVP to under 100 yards.
The refs didn't allow Roethlisberger to scramble to throw across the field to hit his guy at the 2 yd line.
Ben's TD was a bad call, IMO, but I believe that they would have either scored on the following play or kicked a FG.
And Jackson DID push the guy, 10 feet in front of the ref. Was the ref supposed to ignore that violation?
Bottom line: The better team won, or least the better team today, as Seattle outplayed the Steeelers between the 20's, but could not finish. That is far more important in the outcome than any referee errors, which are a part of EVERY event.
.......and yes, I bet on Seattle, so I am not a conspiracy theorist, rather a guy who can admit I lost a bet because I bet on the wrong side. Not many of us left, it seems.
