Its a family tradition that goes back 4 generations to be a Hokie Fan
All the way back to my great grandfather(grandfather, father..)
All in the corp, (except my Brother who also is a Hokie)
I grew up watching the Hokies and going to Blacksburg.
There was nothing else..
But one faithful day after thanksgiving while finger banging High School Suzi Q I stoppped long enough to watch "The Pass' By little Dougie Miracle...
I ended up wanting to go to BC (better management dept, anyway)
But my cheering roots will always be with the Hokies..
Caught some shit in my day but family is family and they drilled it in my head to love your Hokies....

and by the way anyone who cheers for a team because of where their father went is pathetic that is like FSU students cheering for Miami a ****ing travisty.... pathetic and pisses me off... hokie you need to change your ways and cheer for your school not your pops.
College sports are for representing YOUR university not soemone elses thats why it is college you don't go to Central High and cheer for Northern... the pros are different, but college is where YOU went not soemone else. All the people in Miami cheer for UM and I say **** them, they live there they didn't go to the ****ing school they have no affiliation what so ever period, just because my dad went to Indiana State doesn't mean I should cheer for their basketball game. I am a NOLE till death because I go here...write your own script don't let someone else write it for you.

the same hasselbeck that a couple of years ago mouthed off in green bay in overtime saying they were going to win after the coin toss. i think he is a jackoff that after that has been coached what to say. i listened to many of the interviews he did and everything he said was calculated and coached.
That wasn't exactly "mouthing off" in that GB. I thought it was pretty funny.
Relax, Skippy. I'm a huge Hokie fan too. My parents met at Va Tech. I only lived in the area as a kid. I know what Hokie Fan is talking about - it gets ingrained from early on. I grew up mostly out west, but still couldn't shake the Gobblers. It's a very small corner of the world - they don't have the luxury of drawing in fans the way a lot of other schools do.
I was out there early January. That Marcus Vick crap dominated the news. Bigger than the miner tragedy - bigger than everything. I was actually getting a bit creeped out by that.

Its a shame, there are some good guys from BC in my class, most of them are ND fans too. One might be a bigger ND fan than I am. Guess not everyone goes down the "jealous" road
For the record thoug, I dislike BC probably just as much, but its not rooted in jealousy thats for sure
