JIDDAH, Saudi Arabia

Former Vice President Al Gore told a mainly Saudi audience on Sunday that the U.S. government committed "terrible abuses" against Arabs after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, and that most Americans did not support such treatment.

Gore said Arabs had been "indiscriminately rounded up" and held in "unforgivable" conditions. The former vice president said the Bush administration was playing into al-Qaida's hands by routinely blocking Saudi visa applications.

You are a fool, why would you spend time on anything Gore has to say ? We need to do some serious cleaning on both sides, WE HAVE TO FIGHT TERROR WITH TERROR. Get focused on the task, you worry about liberals and our country goes to hell. Gore is not a factor. NEXT !!! All you do is point out the shit on the left and they trump you with the shit on the right. Talk about America and what we need to do . I don't care what you believe in, you can't be happy with this run away train ? I know I have said this before but I keep responding to the same old shit. Give me a solution, a way out. Knocking the left and the right down won't do it. The Left is wrong and the right is wrong; where to we go from here. There are no easy solutions,we have to stop fighting ourselves and fight the enemy. The enemy is us, we are better than the rest if we allow ourselves to be.

F____ Muslims and Liberals, they are no more of a threat to you than Catholics and Conservatives, and I'm both. Not all in any group think the same. I know this is simple but it gets lost.

Typical. One Democrat, and this time somebody who doesn't even hold office, says something you disagree with, and so you somehow apply it to all "liberals." Pathetic. Who the hell cares what Gore says anymore? I mean other than DTB.

And before you declare war on anybody, how about some reasons why what he said is incorrect. That would much more helpful than your BS about cleaning house. You'd think the "liberals" started this ridiculous war in the first place.

Is Al Gore relevant on the US political scene?

Not really, but.....

Do I care what Al Gore says?

YES, especially when he is speaking in the middle east about the us govt and how we are mistreating middle eastern citizens over here.......he's fanning the flames over there, weather or not he's right or wrong (and personally i believe he's wrong).

bryanz...the guy was a thread from being president of the united states...not to mention a heartbeat away for 8 years.....

i read somewhere that there were more attempts on clintons life than any president in u.s.. history?....however, since most were listed as random acts by nuts, and "accidents" it will never hit a history book anywhere.....that`s scary.....

"Arabs in the United States had been “indiscriminately rounded up, often on minor charges of overstaying a visa or not having a green card in proper order, and held in conditions that were just unforgivable.”...???

columnist john leo wrote:..."there have been 100,000 hate crimes against muslims after 9/11. they were:

one shooting.

two bricks through shop windows.

99,997 limp handshakes and insincere hellos""....lol

seems like the jimmy carter`s,the ramsey clark`s and the gores don`t give a shit about throwing gasoline on the fire...

he's speaking to a country that still supports slavery and that has firmly installed the world's most severe and unforgiving legal system of religious apartheid......not to mention the promotion of radical wahabism...

god,i`m beginning to appreciate bill clinton more and more each day....seriously...

this stuff was irresponsible,imo....and it`s over the top....but,if you think about it,you can maybe rationalize gores`s irrationality...

i remember seeing him at bush's first inaguration, sitting ten feet away from the spot that he was "destined" to be in....from childbirth...from rich, influential, political parents....it was his destiny...

must have been like holding a $50 million lottery ticket one digit away from the winning #....

of course he snapped.....

trying not to be to hard on al....all i can say is,THANK YOU RALPH NADER.........

thank you ralph nader.....thank you...thank you....thank you....thank you....

.

:) I got a prob with people aiding and abetting the enemy--you have newsweek story about soider abuse (they later apoligized on source) that got many killed--you got NYT running prison scandel 45 staight days--you got media giving away anti terrorist secrets and now this BS. Would be so bad but the sister terrorist network Algezeera reprints everything to stir the pot--what odds they don't have Gores little spiel in front page tomorrow--we'll see--
http://english.aljazeera.net/HomePage

and as far as who I am for or against--I am for or troops 1st--war on terror 2nd--
--and against anyone or anything who supports those that are detrimental to either.
If the shoe fits--wear it.
---or is this your Cindy Sheehan impersonation, right bryanz?

What do we stand for as Americans ? We can't have it both ways. Garden, Saudi Arabia is a Country that this American President and every one in my life time has gotten on his knees and kissed their ass. How do you fight a war on terror with out having a fight with Saudi Arabia ? Dogstb, why are you afraid of speech ? I ask you again, are you a Fascist ? Who do you want to be the Grand censor ? This is America, people can say and wright what they want. People are defending that with their lives this very moment.

Why does Cindy Sheehan get to the likes of you ? If I lost my son the way she lost hers, I would want some answers to. We need more Americans like her. What is so wrong about speaking her mind ? Her son has given her that right.

bryanz...how do you fight ww2 shoulder to shoulder with a mass murderer like stalin?.....

why back saddam against the mad mullahs of iran?...... why?

because it was the right thing to do at the time..

we need saudi oil...like it or not....at the very least,we need to keep it from being controlled by the saddam`s and/or the mullahs of iran....

the saudi royal family aren`t sweethearts...no doubt...but,they are the lesser of two evils.....

but,you`re missing the point....gore gave a discretionary,basically anti-american speech overseas...

slinging mud abroad to salve some old political wounds?...throwing meat to the wolves....encouraging our enemies to hate us....validating their hatred?....

that`s irresponsible...and he should take considerable flak for it...

i think it`s anti-american....he has the right to do it......and we have the right to rip him a new one...

a prominant american, shitting on this country for a fee..... fanning the flames of muslim hatred for america....

if visa proceures that allowed 19 muslim men into this country to kill 3,000 people are changed, we are cutting off "channels of friendship and mutual understanding?"......

many of us here on planet earth would call that common sense defense.....

The Muslims that hate us, not all do but the ones that do, don't need any help. Free speech is a good thing. I wouldn't piss on Gore if he paid me $100,000 but let him talk. Has anything he said, surprised you ?

Garden, you are so right about our relationship with Saudi Arabia and it makes me Ill. Being in bed with the Saudi's is the easy way but not way out. On Sep 11th about 5:00 pm that day, I said to a group of friends that speculated who did it. I said we would find out two things, the people that did this were educated in America and some one high up in our government betrayed us.

this country is fractured...maybe irreparably.....

cheney accidentally sprays a hunting buddy with birdshot, and the press corp treats it like it was chappaquidick....

the former v.p. of the u.s. says that arabs were routinely rounded up after 9/11 and subjected to "unforgivable conditions"?.....

is he talking about gitmo?...visa violations?.which one?.....the gitmo crew were, for the most part, battlefield combatants, weren`t they?

i`d like to ask al,"what are you trying to accomplish, here?"

i get your drift,bryanz...the saudis aren`t looking out for us...and that`s an understatement...

and now this port thing....

i don`t know what to think anymore...

How is this any worse than the guy who actually is the president having walks in the flower garden with the Saudis.

War on terror and Republican Presidents could also be the title of this thread.
