Anyone know if it is possible to trace a cell phone number back to the owner of the cell phone? I am getting calls from two cell phone numbers and they consistently just remain silent when I answer the phone. I saw some place online that would trace phone numbers but they wanted $100 bucks to do it and I was just wondering if there was anyway that I could do it myself.

Get my email from Jack and I know where to get it done for 50.00. For that you will get the first and last name and address of who owns the phone that is calling you. No way to get this info for free

the guy that broke into my car last year used my cell phone then threw it on the ground. I never was able to figure out a way to trace that number that was called, and the police didn't seem to care.

Easy Way to do it

Easy Way to do it

Capper,

If you want a creative free way to do it follow this.

Go to this website

http://www.reversephonedirectory.com/

Then you enter the phone number in the reverse side.

It will tell you it cannot give you the person's information as it is a number registered to "XYZ Wireless Company" in "City, State" So know you have their Wireless company.

Call block your number *67 or whatever your carrier works with.

Then State the following exactly

"Hello this is Mr. Sanders calling from "XYZ Wireless" Internal Security. We have had a report of this cellphone being cloned offshore and getting billed Long Distance calss which you may not have made.

Wait for Reaction.

Sir/Madam, I need to have you verify a few things to proceed with an investigation.

Can I verify the cell phone number, is it 555-555-5555.

Yes,

Ok on our system we have an sim card registered under the name of Boris Slaviania. Is that you?

No, Ok Sir/madam who is the registered owner of the cell.

They will then tell you their name. Done it alot of times. You can then get more info from them if need be.

Ok it seems your phone may have been cloned. If they push back and say you tell me who it is registered to, you say, "I just did our records show Boris Slaviania. If this is not the correct owner we need to know about it"

They will tell you then.

Then you must complete the call, saying "that if they notice any incorrect calls on their cell phone to report it immediatly and then give them the 1800 number of their local carrier.

Again my name is Mr. Sanders and you can reach me at the number and someone from our team will be following up with you within 48 hours.

Done and Done. No charge.

Good luck with it.

Yes there is a chance they may have ported the number but you can say it is still registered on the old network as in use. That will get them to cooperate more.

As well, just as an FYI it is near impossible to clone a GSM phone. If the person is bright enough to know that, say that the cloning is coming out of Guadong Region in China, which has slowly be able to make progress cloning GSM phones. They will eat that up!!
