OK I just wanted to think what you guys thought about this. I happen to be a big Ga Tech fan and just got off the phone with a big UNC fan. We got in a huge fight and he thinks Tech is terrible and pathetic that they blew a 20 point lead. In my opinion UNC has talent but Ga Tech is pretty much right there with them and I give a SLIGHT edge to UNC but not much at all. At a neutral sight..complete toss up. I know records dont indicate it but Ga Tech is not a bad team at all...and I just wanted to ask if you guys think Im crazy or somewhat right. Other the Hansborough I definitely like Ga Tech's players way better..and next year with another huge recruiting class..they will be just as good if not better than UNC. They easily could have won last night and although they didnt...I thought they looked like a pretty solid team.

Yeah but above average teams don't let leads like they had turn into a loss. They are a young and developing team and will be better last year. I think the coaching that UNC has puts them a step above GT...and by no way am I a UNC fan. GT has just not won enough big games this year.

I really didn't expect the line to be 12. I was thinking more like 6-8.
Tech shot way better than normal in 1st half, including from the line. They shot worse than normal in 2nd half. Had a few 3's rim out, where in the 1st half, everything was falling.
Hewitt's a really good coach. Williams is better. Other than Hansbrough, Tech matched up pretty good. Hansbrough is a beast and also gets benefit of the doubt on some calls.

Once Carolina got momentum, Tech couldn't do much. They got scared to shoot, and when they did, they missed. UNC adjusted very well at halftime. Tech doesn't drive to basket much. Don't know what UNC was doing 1st half on defense.

I think Carolina will stay ahead of Tech as long as Roy is there though. Too many advantages. Great coach with a great program, so he's going to get more talent.

Tech is a very dangerous team, and will be a lot better next year. Those close losses will turn into wins.

On a neutral site, I put UNC about 5 or 6 points better this season.

And, by the way, I'm a Carolina fan. :)

i knew there wasnt gonna be a 12 point margin between the scores, but UNC has been getting better and better. They are a young team thats gonna be great real soon. On the other hand they were not the better team last night and GT just fell apart.

Yea I think that coaching is a bit close than most people perceive. Roy Williams is obviously a good coach, but Hewitt is awesome too. Last year UNC has loads of talent and Ga Tech played an amazing game and beats them in the ACC Semi's...but then of course UNC wins it all..I dont know..it will be interesting to see..I think Ga Tech will be very strong next year and UNC..so it should be fun to watch. I still think Ga Tech has atleast one or two more big upsets in them!! (maybe Duke nxt Wednesday!!! probably not..but who knows)
