It wasn't working before. I read the first page, but when I went to the second it froze my computer. I didn't really see the 'Furor' that the headline suggests, but maybe that was on the 2nd and 3rd page.

I've always believed (as did the left's icon Bubba) that this guy has WMD and just because we didnt actually find a nuclear bomb in 2002-03 doesnt mean there were no WMD. If you were told for 12 years that we were coming to find your wmd's wouldn't you have a plan in place to move or hide them? I'm sure this is exacty what happened, BUT the better story for the media to run with (the media that hates Bush) is that he lied, there were no WMD and we are fighting a war over a lie.

If you believe like I do that the Iraqi invasion was never about WMD's in the first place, then we are still fighting a war over a lie, no matter what this article says (and the article itself, about tapes recorded in 1995, does not allege that these WMDs were still in Iraq at the time of the 2002/03 inspections/invasion).

I don't think anybody, on any point on the political spectrum, can reasonably deny that Saddam wanted WMDs, and that as far as chem/bio weapons, he had some at some point (ask the Kurds), but I certainly don't think there's a consensus that this was the actual motivation for war. It was only one of a series of justifications put forward by the administration (9/11 link, nukes from Nigeria, WMDs) before they finally seemed to settle on something about liberating the Iraqi people from tyranny, which is ridicuous.

And, by the way, does anyone on the left actually consider Clinton to be their icon? It seems like it's the Republicans who can't stop themselves from bringing up Clinton in response to every issue.
