Washington -3.5
Oregon was on slides of 0-6 SU and 1-5 ATS before scoring a win at lowly Arizona State last Saturday. Still, this is a Duck team that doesn't play well at McArthur Court (0-4 SU/ATS last four in Eugene) and is still shuffling and experimenting to find the right combination.
The natives in Eugene are restless with coach Ernie Kent, who has started at 11 of his 13 players at least once this season. Tonight, third-leading scorer Bryce Taylor is out with a knee injury and this is not the time of year to still be unsure about who's your best personnel to have on the court. But that's becoming the norm at Oregon, where the Ducks are a mere 5-13 SU and 4-13-1 ATS in February contests the last three seasons.
Oregon (1-8 ATS slide as a home pup of three or less), is talented, but mistake prone. It also doesn't defend well (last five opponents shooting 48 percent) and the high-scoring Huskies (47.2 percent shooting all games) will score enough to cover this small price.
Lorenzo Romar's Huskies are playing with a lot of confidence after completing regular season sweeps of UCLA and Southern Cal last week. Brandon Roy (20-plus points in five straight) has been solid and this is a Washington team that wants to build momentum before heaing into the post-season.
The Huskies are on series' runs of 4-1 SU and 3-1-1 ATS after last month's 19-point victory in Seattle. They registered the scoreboard victory last year at McArthur Court and they'll do the same tonight with this win and cover.
