I know very little about hockey, but I think this may be the most exciting sport that there is. If I was still single and without child I would probably become a huge fan. It's hard to pick up a new "hobby" at this stage but from the little that I have watched, it is certainly a great sport with amazing athletes.

Curling: That's another story altogether. I can't imagine ever getting excited about that.

Dawg- five times better live than on TV.

I was entertaining a business partner from London, took him to a Predators game (his first hockey game), he enjoyed it so much he bought a sweater! I'm sure he will be the only Preds fan in London.

My wife, who is from Kentuckey, never saw a hockey game till I took her to a few in LA..
She loved it
When we moved to Hartford we bought season tickets..
She went to every game..
If you like it on TV you must see it live...

Hockey is muuuuuch better live than on tv. I used to love going to games in the old Garden and cling to my old Neely jersey as one of my most cherished possesions.

kneifl saw your zip, where do you live? I am in 22310 in Kingstowne.

22312, up by ballys total fitness on Little River Turnpike. There are some condos tucked away in back on Beauregard St. I live in Mayflower Square. Kingstowne is a nice area, I like going over there, my wife loves the shopping over at Homegoods and WorldMarket.

Gotcha, is that the plaza with the Total Wine/Tower Records? We looked at buying down the street there at Pinecrest but found a better deal down here even though its a little farther out.

I went to two Thrashers games while I lived in Atlanta, but like most of the people there I was just at an event to drink. I didn't really pay attention to the game.

I'm looking forward to going to a Preds game soon now.

Thats just cruel..
I miss my team more than anything
I know what Browns fans, Colts fans, Ram fans (are there true fans in LA).
I cried at the end of the last game...
No one left Players Fans .. terrible day
But thanks for that memory
