1) several days late and many efforts short and ill prepared, our president flies into the absolute Hell' s wake that Hurricane Katrina has left New Orleans in. Thousands dead or suffering, a major American city, and one of our major ports crippled.

Bush lands patting one of his many cronies, one obviously NOT QUALIFIED FOR FOR THE JOB, and states YOU'RE DOING A GREAT JOB DOWN HERE BROWNIE"

2) story breaks about American port issue: everyone I know, from elderly to high school kids talking about this subject, virtually everyone against it, Bush comes out AND VEHEMENTLY GIVES IT HIS OVERWHELMING APPROVAL, TO THE POINT OF USING VETO POWER FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HIS 2 TERMS. only to quickly back pedal and state he knows absolutely nothing about the issue, just heard of it. NO BUCK STOPS HERE WITH THIS PRESIDENT, EVERYTHING IS ALWAYS EVERYONE ELSE S DOING.**

Here are a couple more for consideration:

1) Referring to a memo that he knew was a fake and was advised not to leave in there by the CIA in a State of the Union address. The infamous Nigerian Uranium lie.

2) Pointing to a beat up balsa wood plane saying that it could deilver WMD to our shores.

3) Using a satellite photo of a convoy of trucks to bolster his case that there were WMD in Iraq.

A couple of favorites from when he spoke at a couple dinners:

1) "Some people call you the haves and the have mores. I call you my base."

2) (As he looks under the table and as troops are dying looking for WMD) "Are there any WMD under there?"

1) Landing on an aircraft carrier in a freakin' flight suit and a Johnny Holmes size cup to announce the end of 'major operations.'

Maybe that's the same suit he wore to the bars while serving in Alabama. He must have nabbed some nasty drunken coeds with that package.

Another: (Not verbatim, but the gist)

"I remember when I had fun down here. A little TOO much fun...hehehehehe."

- His commentary on the situation in New Orleans after Katrina.

He could have worn that suit and toured the floodwaters in New Orleans. Talk about "highwaters."

Quite odd you speak of and post pics of GW in suit landing on aircraft carrier as "embarrassment to "Americans"
I believe if you look into the soilders eyes and re hash the applause and pride in their eyes and same with "many americans"

You might consider renaming thread to

"Which classic Bush is more of a embarrassment to LIBERALS"

would seem much more accurate and appropriate-
-if you have any doubts --
--Take a look at everyone that responded to thread AND agreed.

HOW ABOUT::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

HOW ABOUT::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

The day after the Superbowl, where BUSH had to blame a pretzel for taking a header and smashing his drunken face off the porcelain altar. :talk:

isn't he a dick.... just say you had a wild time...but then again he is so programmed to lie.

BUT WHAT HE DID to those people in NEW ORLEANS is criminal.

With all their pack of lies prez & Cheney--lying to lead the nation into war must be the most despicable.

I'm a 'liberal' because I do not agree with many things this admin has done? That's funny.

Just referring to flight Matt--on some of others I would not argue point but probably most of those he was responsible that come to my mind have yet to be mentioned.
Whether intent of flight was publicity or not--it was great gesture and appreciated by those there. I might might be naive and the only one thinking this way--but no thought other than this ships mission was accomplished and they were going home--might have been ment that Saddams troop had surrendered --but to project like some have that we were done there would be pretty far out.
Regardless the troops appreciated gesture and that is what counted.
I have sneaking suspicion that it was GW in flight suit on TV that got most--and the fact that he flew jets at one time--which I agree is amazing in itself considering he has trouble riding bike :)

Now if everyone wants to put up presidents embarrasing everyone including their own family --I'll put up pages of facts and we can compare. --but--- Pray for me Jesse---is the classic :)

And that look of pride becomes a look of being completely bamboozled as time passes. Yeah, everyone looks happy while they are being fooled into thinking they just won a war.

We needed more brains than pride in early '03. That's a fact. Too much pride can be a bad thing - it's in the Bible after all.

And when you have nothing left to your argument, here comes the America-hating Liberal card. Well, maybe I'm the one who actually loves this country more because I put logic and concern above pride. I'* rather open up an atlas and a history book, learn about what the hell is going on, and actually swallow some pride for the sake of tough diplomacy than just throw our military into my own personal war.

I admire your loyalty. I envy your faith in men and institutions to seek and do the higher good. Also, you obviously have the rare ability to stick with a guy even when he's had a few bad days. That is the definition of a true friend.

But "Great" do you say? As in "first-rate" or "excellent?" Surely you jest.

The use of the word great was a jab at the lunatic pujo.

Yes, I am a Bush admirer, yes I believe he has let the conservative wing of the party down fiscally and have said so here in this forum.

But as all of you know I have stated repeatedly that America was a laughing stock after 8 yrs of clinton, letting the UN steer our foreign policy, no leadership at all against the terrorists attacks during his admin. And believe me if Gore would have been elected it would have been more of the same.

Bush proved to the world that he would do what it takes by taking the fight to the terrorists and not wait for it to come to us again.

He stepped up and showed the world that we would follow through and do what we threatened not back down like the fu****** UN did 16 times to Irag. He showed the world that we would fight for our freedoms and go after anyone that threatened those freedoms.

I know you left wingers esp in this forum don't see it that way, but that is your prerogative living here in the U.S. but thank goodness alot of people do appreciate it and I"m one of them.

I think you under estimate the military Smurph.I would wager most Americans would deem your pic of GW one of his high-lights.

If you want to see what true embarrassment is with a pres and military--do a search when the Vets showed Bill their backsides at "The Wall" on vets day and he cut his speech short and scurried off. ;)
