This time of year my numbers start to get a little less tight so I try to evolve and incorporate something I developed a couple of years ago to stay disciplined and narrow down my plays. I'm pretty sure I posted it last year but basically it is just ensuring that you only bet on teams that are worth betting on and bet against teams that aren't. I know it sounds really juvenile but it makes sense. Basically I use a good stats site and came up with 3 criteria. If a team qualifies in all 3 they are bettable at this time of year. Conversely I have also set up 3 fade criterias and if a team qualifies in all three then they are fade worthy. On a big card like tomorrow I will not even look at a game unless the game includes a triple qualifier or a triple fade.

Ahh...Clem I was totally looking the other way in this one. I hope you know Xavier is having some internal problems going on as they suspended senior Dedrick Finn on Wednesday for violatiing team rules. He's started every game since being at Xavier and averages 28 min per game. I think that's a total distraction for this team right now and coming off a tough road loss at Dayton....RI on the other hand is 12-8 ATS and 9-5 at home. Also Xavier is only 4-6 SU L/10 games which isn't too impressive for a team who's supposed to be pretty good. Not trying to change your mind because I'm sure you've done your research, but I just see this being a trap game and Finn getting suspended this week being a distraction...GL to ya!

S.Illinois last 4 games : win @ Creighton, lose @ Bradley, lose vs LA Tech, and lose @ Evansville?

GL Clem. Really respect your discipline. Betting on too many games will eventually kill us all no matter how good of a handicapper we are.
