My computer got some virus from an IM.

What should I do??

Blue screen of death is very very bad. Could be a corrupt hard drive at this point. Is it possible to start it in safe mode? I believe hold down F8 when you restart?

3 seconds, I live in same town as h fan, about 10 minutes from Providence. Live here all my life, except when in college in New York. Get my email from Jack if you like. Providence is pretty ok, come long way last decade or so. Money magazine or one of those voted it one of the most desirable cities to live in couple years ago.

3 seconds.
I actually work in Providence.
There are some nice parts, the East side next to Brown University is nice. But it is a city and has bad areas.
I like living outside Rhode Island (ask Shamrock we live in the same town)
This may be personal but how much money do you plan on spending on a house?
Do you have kids (mine go to school in RI .. Catholic school but expensive)
How old are you? (Clubs Bars retirement homes)
Where are you moving from?
Learn Spanish...
Dont expect anything but Red Sox Patriots and more Red Sox for sports Forget college football ...
Let me know if you need more info I would be happy to help

Will be renting my first year there, dont want to purchase again right away, but I would be willing to drop up to 1200-1300 a month to rent a nice place.....

I am 31 & the wife is 27. No kids yet.....moving from Charleston SC (2 years) via Philadelphia (spent about 10 years here)

My goal is to find the right areas of Prov to live.....I understand crime is a part of any city, but are the "rough" areas easily to avoid in your daily life there....like in Philly which I am sure has to have places worse the Prov, but I can easily avoid them & it is almost as if they arent there if I didnt know better...

I also was wondering about the "vibe" of city is it artsy, blue collar etc....

Oh man Providence is loaded with the Spanish speakers, I dont know a lick of Spanish....

If surrounding towns are better to live in which would you recommend.....would Newport be a better area to consider? It is only a 30 mins outside of Prov isn't it?

Thanks for any info!!

Coles722@hot..........

Hokie can you shoot me an email that way I dont have to wait to get yours from Jack.....That is mine.

This will really help me becuase I am getting some serious conflicted reports from the net concerning crime, taxes, friendliness of the locals etc....

I dont mind living in the city or a suburb. I actually work from home, it is my wife who will be driving & I would guess she would be willing to drive 30-35 mins to Prov. She might have a chance to pursue her doctorate @ Brown & that is the reason for the move....

I get a lot of pull with the move, if we do it since it will be for her.....
