You know I was thinking about the word Saturday and it makes sense for the most part. Typically on a college hoops (or football) Saturday that is exactly what I did all day. I sat ur day. But sometimes I do lay on the couch so maybe it should could considered lay ur day as it was in past civiliazations. anyway... on to saturday.
Texas Tech + 6
Playing well as of late and have been in most games. Oklahoma state got their big win last weekend as it was declared a "dry" county for the weekend. See a hangover from the Texas game here. Tech to cover.
Keeping with the Big 12... Iowa State -6
Baylor offense will not be able to keep up with cyclones running game. Only wins against a sorry Mizzou team and K-state who struggles mightily on the road.
Marquette +5
Should be interesting as these two teams play a game of horse behing the three point line. Marquette stays within the number in the battle of the chuckers.
Penn st. -2 1/2
Psu quietly playing very good ball of late. Undersized team continues to battle and play with more emotion than their opponents. Northwestern has played well at home but not quite the same on the road for this tilt. They have no one that wants to bang down low to get the easy points.
Gw - 6
Gotta have your Pops? I don't think so. You don't need the big man to run. Fordham has played well at home, but look for Gw to make a statement that they can play w/o Pops. They hand it to the "ham" honey-glazed style. (not sure what that means)
Iowa +7 1/2
possibly the two best defensive teams in the Big Ten. A lot a stake here for the title. I see Illinois winning the game but Iowa toughness inside combined with the long game keep it close. Haluska a very underrated defender.
Last but not least Kent -6
