You know that flight suit does not fit to well. I wonder if he's gaining wait from all that B S he carries around. If I remember right I was still sticking up for him till I saw that picture.

And the hate just keeps rolling along, what a pathetic group. Why don't you guys djv, stevied, pujo, MC, Bifiniste, smurphy, shamrock, chadman, and all the rest go join cindy shehan sic or the "now" gang and all whine and hate in unison.

What a great reality show in stupidity and weeping that would be.

BUSH 2001

""Every nation, in every region, now has a decision to make. Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists. (Applause.) From this day forward, any nation that continues to harbor or support terrorism will be regarded by the United States as a hostile regime.""

i`m considering turning from bush...this might be it.......after his failure at protecting our borders, trying to let u.a.e. run our ports, letting the 9-11 commission run wild, not defending able danger, awful security at airports and ports still, etc...... i have trouble considering him good enough to protect this country......i've ignored some things he's done in the past realizing that pragmatism and politics sometimes must trump doing the right thing.....i understand that realpolitik means you have to compromise sometimes, but ENOUGH.....

now, backtracking on funding the palestinians....even if you're funding the "palestinians" humanitarianly through the u.n.(if you believe, after all the water thats gone under the bridge with the u.n.,they can be trusted), that just means that they can devote all of their money to martial means......these people celebrated on 9-11 and they don't deserve one penny of mine for anything. ....

i`m beginning to catch b.*.s...he`s becoming part of the problem....

this may be where I make my break with bush....he's becoming part of the problem...

"a plan for the "Return of the Khalifate" "...

sounds like the new policy of the state dept....

Yeah, he fought nobley and abley to down those whiskey sours. Maybe Kerry's people should have trumped up some "Bartenders for Truth" group to deiscredit his service.

DTB - No, I don't underestimate the military. But I don't overestimate them either. Like the great Sun Tzu (not the MJ one, the old Chinese guy) said, "Every war is won or lost before it begins". Bush put the military in an unwinnable proposition regarding Iraq - and that's the worst thing a leader can ever do with his military. There was no real objective with Iraq, and as the smart people realistically assessed like Wesley Clark, Biden, and Kosar - we were never there with the kind of forces that could keep order. Because of the internal rivalries and eventual bitterness at "occupiers", it was doomed to erupt.

DTB - Let me ask you - would you rather have a flag waving, jump suit wearing leader without a clue bringing you into war on empty rhetoric and false pride OR would you rather have a calculating, intelligent leader who doesn't land on carriers with a bunch of lies, but spares the military of unneccesary conflicts?

I say spare me the garbage talk and antics and just lead proficiently.

"the bunker"
on this ports thing...let me ask a hypothetical question of my fellow neocons..

if kerry had been elected in 2004,and the kerry administration had made this decision on our ports...in the manner that the bush administration did....

by that,i mean it being a decision made by some bureaucrats(some with past affiliations with this uae company)....would you have been as quick to defend it?...

i think this trumps the usual republican/democrat partisan bickering...

Quite odd you speak of and post pics of GW in suit landing on aircraft carrier as "embarrassment to "Americans"
I believe if you look into the soilders eyes and re hash the applause and pride in their eyes and same with "many americans"

You might consider renaming thread to

"Which classic Bush is more of a embarrassment to LIBERALS"

would seem much more accurate and appropriate-
-if you have any doubts --
--Take a look at everyone that responded to thread AND agreed.
:)

Let's all pray for this forum brother.

I appreciate and agree with this sentiment. But how is it that you can even come close to agreeing with Bush then? A competent leader does his homework and doesn't say things like "freedom on the march". He capitalised on people's patriotism and loyalty at a time when most were willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. He never really studied what he got us into, the country is paying for it, the military is losing lives for it, and Iraq is arguably worse off than before for it. Bush failed us - ESPECIALLY the military. If he were competent, this never would have happened.
