I?ll keep this short and sweet. With the Lakers coming off of a very flat performance against the Clippers, I am going to ride Pierce?s hot hand with the Celtics tonight. Pierce went to high school 11 miles from the Staples Center and always has strong local support in the stands and usually plays well here. At Portland on Friday night, Pierce got going with 37 points and Szczerbiak added another 25 in the 102-96 win over the Blazers. Pierce has scored at least 30 points in seven of his last eight, and is averaging 32.8 in his last ten games. The Celtics as a team have averaged 102 points in their last five games against Orlando, Cleveland, Utah, Phoenix and Portland so I really like the extra 7? points.
