How many remote controls do you have?

Sonuvabitch I just didn't realize how many remote controls I had laying around until I had to switch from the Xbox 360 to a DVD for the kids and it took like 4 different remote controls to pull it off, WFT?

Does anyone have one of those Logitech universal remotes? I know they list for like $200 but it just might be worth it if they actually work.

Right now I am sitting next to 7 remote controls and use them all

TV
Cable box
Xbox
DVD
VCR
Stereo
CD player

There has to be a better way.

I had the same problem but it was fixed for much less...45-50 bucks. It works the TV, Sat, DVD, VCR, amp, CD player...but not the playstation. They take a bit of time getting used to, but much better htan searching for 10 remotes....
I do hear the more expensive ones are a little more user friendly

I have the Logitech Harmony, I only use one with all my TV satellite and all the equipment I really recommend this remote, you can configure via Internet very easy

Does it work with any type of equipment? Mostly my stuff is all popular retail names, Phillips, Samsung, etc..

Yes you can use with every thing and if they don't have the brand that you have the remote learn the commands from the original i Really recommend it. is expensive but worthy

Of course, two of those remotes in the pic aren't really remotes, they're phones, but I just looked down at my desk to this sight one day and thought...I need a picture of this, this has gone too far...

Since taking this picture I've added two more: one for my cable box, and one for my wireless media player that streams music from my computer to my home theater.

Thats exactly what I am talking about GM. Our living room is fairly big and we have a sectional couch that seats 6, my ass sits in the recliner in the center of it and on both sides of the chair is assorted remote controls and telephones (not to mention the speaker phone built in to the couch).

And to think I thought I had everything cleaned up when I got the wireless router to get rid of the cluttery cable going to my laptop, sheesh.
