I was wondering the same thing, I have seen to many games this season where I lost on a garbage 3 or layup that meant nothing in terms of the game, but made a dog cover and I lose... At least five that I can remember off the top of my head, and I see this game...So I think, ok at least here is a chance for me to get some back on those backdoor covers, and what do they do, nothing....
Contrast this also with teams that are 8 or 9 point dogs and down by 7 with 10 seconds left (at least two I can recall) and they miss a shot and with 8 or 9 seconds left, they foul and fail to cover... I have missed the boat on these games, and I cannot remember one (after thinking about it for 15 minutes) that I won this season because of the last 8 or less seconds....
OK, done with my :violin: just amazes me sometimes...

But, man, I just wanted a shot. I was mad enough when he took starters out, but with that much time you can get a shot (prob. uncontested) from about 35 feet. Prob. a lot closer.

Not to mention....hey, keep starters in and try to win. 2 possession game and you have the ball.
Its damn tough, but throw it down court and shoot a quick 3. If it goes in with time on clock, you have a chance. Not much of a chance but a chance. What happened to playing to win?

On nights like tonight I try to console myself with the fact that I was on the "right side," just not the side that won...
A lot of public squares are counting their money, just waiting to put it on another game like this in the future, where we will all make our money back... but I swear, it seemed like everyone on the board was on Minnesota... Tough day...
