Duke and UConn.....NCAA .Futures Favs Question??

Seeing these 2 teams at prices as high as 2-1 and 3-1.............

Am I the only one who thinks those prices are stupid considering how shaky these 2 teams are..........


I just find both of these teams defensive play a total joke lately..........they are not only playing and losing(Duke) close games but it seems they cant get any stops........

When is Uconn going to decide to bring their "A" game????

For as much talent as they have I find it weird they almost get beat at home by Notre Dame and Louisville.........these are teams they should be easily beating by 10 or more points.......and although they ended up beating Nova handily, it was a very close game with like 6 minutes left.....

Without Marcus Williams handling the ball they are a little erractic to say the least............

I guess Calhoun knew what he was doing when he got him out of all that trouble for stealing computers............he knew he needed a point guard.......

foul trouble to williams (turnovers to follow) is what will do this team in if they lose in the tourney

nova seems to have less talent and overall balance but they sure seem to play 10x harder than uconn

i waited till the final few seconds of the game then went and placed my futures bet for NC +2500 . If they can beat duke at home, on senior day, on Redicks last game...ect. I feel they have a good shot of winning the tourny. Right after the game it went to +1000.

If they can win back to back titles after losing everyone last year then it will be the biggest sports feat I have ever seen..........

Maybe we are being fooled by both UNC and Duke because the ACC is down this year......................and maybe not........

There is a lot of truth in this thread..
My take..fwiw
CT has the 1 seed sewn up.
They seem to spurt...play sloppy, take chances...let teams back in ..then spurt again...and they're good enough to get away with it...most times...I think you'll see a more focused team at tourney time.....
CT has no real go to guy...but several who can step up..may not need one
CT ALWAYS gets the oppositions A game...so does DUKE...tough to stay 100% physically and emotionally up and focused through 29 games..always getting oppositions best
Duke seems tired (especially Reddick)..long season ..lotta minutes
CT..a little fatigued...but not so many minutes for any one player..
most under or close to 30 per game on avg.
I may be the only one..but I think Rudy Gay needs at least another year...I've been watching and while he is good he's not all that..........
IF CT wins it will be because of their Defense, rebounding..shot blocking/altering ability and Josh Boone CANNOT sit with 2 fouls EVERY game and miss most of the first half (like the last 3 games)...Okafor had similar problems..

UNC believes and will be a very tough out......Roy W...great job

Bottom line....

for 4 years when it has been nut cutting time in a big game, JJ Redick fails.

Future money on Duke is wasted money imo.
