A decent day yesterday that could have been a disaster if CINN would have completed their act of trying to give WVU the game. Not sure how a team in the Bearcats position allows something like 64% shooting in the second half. Also think that there's a coach in the Big 12 who might want to concentrate a little bit more on having his team ready and a little bit less on reality TV. The funny thing is that he is now there to stay as long as he sees fit. Oh well, you sell your soul to the devil and.........

On to today - I hope to make it a big one.

Starting out with Miami. FSU probably feels like they punched their ticket to the dance on Wed. and from the looks of it all of Tallahassee has been partying ever since. Now they have to go to an in-state rival's place and try to pull out a win on the road, ain't gonna happen. Last I checked there are no reality TV shows going on around the Hurricanes program and I don't think they will pull a "Texas Tech" today and not show up.

Do I really need to explain why I'm playing this game? Pride, and not the kind that Box and One usually advocates, is the determining factor here. The CUSE either has it or they don't, and the thinking here is that they do. G Mac has had a down year, b/c he is not the type of player who can create his own shot or carry a team. But today I think his teammates dig deep and try to send him out with a win. This is going to be a game with an assload of emotion - and I think Syracuse comes out on top. Not so sure I would give them a bid based on a W today, (think the L earlier this week is a huge black mark), but the Orange's perception might be "win and we're in".
