agreed. they proved that against marshall.

I love it how Sun Tzu and Gman pick one game out of a whole season and think that's why they will lose... LOL.

Should we assume since Texas got their ass spanked by Duke (Was it over 35pts) that they can't compete against the big boys...

Nevermind the quality wins West Virg. has this year. Let's keep bringing up the Marshall game.

i call it like i see it. sorry if that hurts your feelings. the funny thing is that west virginia played 30 games this season. and i made a grand total of 2, count 'em -- TWO -- bets on or against them. so i certainly dont have any allegiance for them or hatred against them. i simply objectively watch their games.

for some reason, your feelings are hurt because i said west virginia was grossly overrated as a top 10 team. then fletcher came into the thread all apoplectic and went on an incoherent rant and said theyd beat every mac team any time. well, shit - i HOPE theyd beat every mac team. my god, its the freakin MAC. there were a few others who were far too bent out of shape as well.

incidentally, from the time that thread originated on a sunday in mid-february they have:

lost to seton hall
lost to uconn
lost to syracuse (in the infamous zero free throws attempted game)
beat louisville by 4 at home
beat pittsburgh by 5 at home
lost to cincinnati
lost to pittsburgh in the quarterfinals of the BE tourney

if youre counting at home, that's a 2-5 mark.

do top 10 teams close out the season winning 2 of their last 7 games?

diapers:

every team is going to have a bad loss during the course of a season. but for most teams, especially teams who are supposed "top ten" (like some claim WVU is), the losses come to an inferior foe during conference play. and theres nothing wrong with that. those are losses that are going to come during the course of a conference schedule.

but west virginia lost to freaking marshall.

... as a 15 point favorite.

... for the second year in a ROW

.... AND after pittsnogle guaranteed a win.

thats like ohio state losing to cleveland state or wright state.
do you see lsu losing to tulane or new orleans?
do you see duke losing to davidson or unc-greensboro?

bottom line is that you dont lose to marshall and then call yourself a top 10 team. for as much as you pay attention to ball state, you should be fully aware of how bad marshall was in their final years in the mac and now how bad they are in conference usa.

Wow..just Wow!

Who pissed in your cereal?

WVU has another shot and for that I am pleased. When WVU shoots poorly..they will in most cases lose to anybody (including Marshall)...if the shoot on average....they have proven they are a top caliber team. Look at their results very closely. A chance to win every game up to the final moments. Every game. In the Big East. That is worth something.
