with so teams the league is going to have more teams out but what a poor effort by the conference. if you include N.I.T. games today i show a 1-4 in post conference play.
i was impressed all year by the conference that i kinda leery of G-TOWN tomorrow... any opinions?

I think they'll go 4-0 tomorrow. Obviously, UConn and Nova will win. I think Gtown matches up really well against an undersized NIU (I have 'em at -4). Jeff Green will have a field day. And Pitt should handle Kent.

Hall shouldn't have been in the tourney, Cuse was totally gassed. I was a bit surprised by the Marquette loss, I'll admit, but having a frosh point guard hurts this time of year.

I've thought middle of the pack big east teams have been overrated...which obviously they are with the poor showing. N. Iowa can play and is very experienced. This game is going to be slow and methodical...tough game to cap in my opinion...I'm staying away but lean toward N. Iowa getting 4 and under.

I'm also sick of the big conference bias so I'm loving the comentators, who never see the smaller conferences, starting to eat their words.

thanks fellas!
agree on the fact big least gets lotsa of love nationally... and there is alot of talent in smaller conferences. winthrop was so impressive today and pacific had boston coll. on the ropes before fading.

going to play g-town small for fun!

If I'm not mistaken, SIU plays man predominantly. If they do that against GU, the Hoyas will back-door 'em to death. Just ask Duke. If they can play a respectable zone, then it'll probably be close unless GU is hot from the outside.

SIU plays West Virginia....Georgetown plays Northern Iowa

Northern Iowa too smart and experienced to get back doored to death and will slow this game to a crawl...Salukis all athletic and can match up with WV who banks on the fact that they create matchup problems with Pittsnoggle and company......lean underdogs...take the points....last second winners

good luck

I thought Syracuse would do better since they had a few days to rest. Boeheim loves that zone (duh) but man, he's too damn stubborn to go away from it.

They got killed on boards and TxAM kept scoring, either on first try or, a lot of times off off. reb's and he wouldn't go man or go with junk defense. I usually like his relentless pursuit of 2-3 zone perfection, but man-make some adjustments when your team is getting killed.

My bad... meant to type NIU.

As for the Cuse, you're right -- rebounding killed 'em. Their big guys have been suspect all year, and without Gerry being superman they couldn't make up the difference.
