I want to but leery.....other than UCLA all the top seeds looked like shit. Seems like when this happens the lines all get soft, people take the dogs, and the chalk unloads.......

At the bar
Take a look at the over, both of these teams love to run and shoot the 3. Duke can't even spell Defense. This game could easily end up in the high 60's.

DUKE should win this one going away in the second half.....the chronicles of reddick :thumb:
GW is no Southern. GW seems to play their best ball in the 2nd half

Im not going to bite on it but this is the same GW team that was #6 just two weeks ago
and this is the same Dookies that were #3 just two weeks ago

I know rankings dont mean much, but this game should be alot closer than nine just on talent
GW is far more athletic than Duke and Duke can not stop penetration offenses

Duke cant stop offenses period but penetration offenses they have the hardest time because they get the Off. rebound to boot over Duke sorry rebounding crew

Sheldon williams is a landlord? No Sheldon williams gets dunks all day because everyone is out chasing reddick. The kid is great on the offensive position, but defensively he leaves much to be desired

If you think this game is only going to be in the high 60's then you should take the under the total is 157.

duke could lose today playing a team with the best record in division I . i think duke has one big blowout game in them, either today or the next one vs lsu. redick and sheldon williams will get 50 pts but paulus and mcroberts need to get 15 or more for duke to win. i like over in first half.

Duke might cover the spread today, but you know the Devils are overvalued. Duke, Connecticut, Villanova, Texas, North Carolina, Gonzaga, Illinois, and Boston College will be overvalued throughout this tournament. Win or lose, there is no way I can put my money on public Duke. Good luck!

Duke always gets money, and the lines on Duke games are usually inflated, especially when it's the only game being played early. Duke in the national spotlight? No thanks!

Interesting points. Are we really deluding ourselves here? I don't know a bettor in any sportsbook that doesn't consider himself smarter than the "public." Are the true "squares" only to be found during the big events, like Betty from Accounting, who kicks a** in the office pool?

On the other hand, sportsbook managers have confessed that there are "public teams" for whom the lines are set a point or so high in anticipation of the greater sums of money that are wagered on these teams. (This would be a good debate subject).
