So. Cal
take your cheesey smirk and go home

:fingerc:

nice effort by ill in the last 12 mins...dd lead and they get extremenly conservative on offense and players lack any foot movement on defense (whch is why they fouled all the time)

wimps from the pac 10 are now 2-0 vs big 10

let's go ucla!

My biggest bet of the day was on UW. I really liked the way they matched up with Illinois and I thought they would win a little easier than they did. I had to quit watching after a while though because I was going to break something very expensive. Nice to see they came back and pulled it out. Brandon Roy is one of the most complete players in the country.

agreed

roy is a stud......will need to step it up even more next week vs uconn (?)

thought the huskies would play well and win easier than they did and loved that romar put jones on dee brown...guy couldnt hit a basket and had few open looks...how many pf/c could cover dee brown????

uw played pretty bad for about 13 mins and it almost cost them but win and advance

Yeah, Jones is one of their more unsung players. He's not that tall, 6'7", and not the greatest player in the world, but he's a great defensive player and a great rebounder for his height. A lot of people don't realize it but they will miss him big time next year. Putting him on Brown was a great call. Neither Dentmon nor Appleby are very good defenders.

And you're right, they kind of crapped the bed for a while there. That's why I rarely play them, they are incredibly streaky and inconsistent. They could give UCONN a scare but I don't think we'll see an upset.

Nice win by the Cats the other day. I love seeing the Pac-10 do well in the tourney.
